When we are on Vlieland, we want to be on the beach. Hang out in the sand all day and end the day with dinner in the beach bar. You won't have to worry about choice, because Vlieland only has two beach bars.
EAST op Vlieland is the first and that is the summer favorite. The beach tent is set up every year at the beginning of April and taken down again at the end. It is a nice, accessible fish restaurant with style. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they serve a surprise menu with fish, crustaceans and/or shellfish.
The second beach tent is The Bathhouse. A nice place with nice seats and a good bite. The cuisine is inspired by the different seasons and the location. Lots of fish from the sea, but also burgers and spareribs, for example. And a nice children's card, which is also not unimportant.
On to the village street, because there is this very cozy bar-café-restaurant with a nice terrace. Or yes, just say it's on a terrace. Bee Pleasant creates a wonderful living room feeling. Most dishes are prepared on the Big Green Egg. Recommended? The citizens.
Perhaps your favorite on Vlieland: Stranded. This is the pavilion on the mudflats and it makes us very happy. On the menu you will find organic, sustainable and homemade choices. Also a cool interior and a good place for the kids. At least during the day, in the evening the music gets a bit louder (hello, party).
In the summer they are open seven days a week and you can sit on the terrace. Stranded knows exactly how to relax by the sea.
Party on Vlieland, thanks to the dishes from Restaurant Zuiver-Vlieland. Where? Located in the Vlierijck hotel-apartment complex, near the ferry terminal and Dorpsstraat. And okay, the changing culinary five-course dinner is delicious, but the perfectly matched wine arrangement might be better.
Pure and honest seasonal products (preferably from our own vegetable garden and from Streekboeren&Co).
Leut is the place for all your light meals. folks is located in the Dorpsstraat and is actually a coffee shop and accommodation. But you are also welcome for breakfast, lunch and drinks. And that lunch is so delicious.
But Leut can also be taken to your favorite place on the island, so you can still be on the beach. Set out with the picnic basket and they have also mapped out the picnic tables on the island for you.
For the Vlielandse Zeebaas (Oost-Vlieland) you can get fish from your hand since May 1, 2021. Chef Ron and Zeebaas Timothy provide the tastiest fish. Fish in the purest way at this fishing cart.
