Salsa Shop, Amsterdam (Centre)

It's a big hit in New York, you'll find one in London Tortilla on every street corner, so why not a healthy, fast Mexican in Amsterdam? This is also what the four friends behind the Salsa Shop on Amstelstraat (the 'extension' of Rembrandtplein towards Waterlooplein) thought. The first (because certainly not the last), a location for number two will be as we speak wanted) Salsa Shop became a high, light shop with a spacious counter where you can put together your burrito, tacos or salad in 4 steps (meat, sauce, extras - Subway sandwich style) which you then enjoy at one of the tables half a floor up, or the stools another level up. In the summer, during lunch, the sun shines wonderfully on the table by the window, which makes a terrace unnecessary (you have to score one) and the Salsa Shop is the only one in the Netherlands that 'serves' the spicy Cholula sauce. Top tip for a quick and healthy lunch. O! And although in my opinion a Mexican snack should include a Corona, the homemade lemonades are not to be missed. Salsa Shop
