For a snack and a drink with Latin American flavors, European influences and fine local ingredients when in Bali: Santanera is the place to be. Dhis hip and sought-after food and drink destination stands three stories high in the popular Canggu district. Canggu? Yes, you know it: the hippest village on the island in western Bali. Several top addresses here (read: crowded, yes - you don't go to most of them for peace and quiet) and each with their own beach (and where you can surf very well). Back to Santanera Canggu, Bali. The menu here is inspired by the travels of chefs Andres Becerra and German Rincon from Colombia. Spoiler alertt: That worked out well! The chefs behind the Santanera menu are Andres Becerra and German Rincon: two culinary connoisseurs from Colombia with a lifelong passion for seasonal and sustainable products. They've honed their craft in a handful of award-winning restaurants around the world. From Colombia's gastronomic showpiece, Leo Cocina y Cava, to Melbourne's institution, Movida Aqui and Michelin-starred Els Casals. The chefs of Santanera bring their international repertoire to the teak table tops of Canggu, Bali. Santanera's menu unites cuisines of the world in their best form. Organic, farm-to-table produce takes center stage, where every ingredient is prepared and refined to create contemporary tapas plates to swap, taste and share. Smoked, whipped, marinated or grilled, farm-fresh delicacies from land and sea are impressively reimagined in dishes from Latin America, Europe, the Mediterranean and beyond.

The interior? Sleek, stylish and with contemporary works of art, as can be seen from the photos.
