We admit with some reluctance: beauty store Skins is a favorite. Reluctantly? Because? Well... we hardly ever find the saleswomen very nice, even though we still spend a fortune on them. But nowhere else is a better collection of beauty products sold in Amsterdam (okay, also at the Bijenkorf, but we don't understand it) and so we try again with our friendliest selves to get the best out of the saleswomen. And now the business is having a garage sale!! With the same very best beauty products. So yes, we want to be there. The promise? Expiring collections (the advantage of beauty, we think, is that collections don't matter all that much), re-designs and adapted formulas... Products that are being removed from the Skins range and can therefore be purchased in the pop-up store in a parking garage on the Keizersgracht with a 50% to 80% discount. The rules: cash only, no returns, no samples and you must hand in your jacket and your (large) bag at the entrance. Like this.
