Probably the most talked about opening in Amsterdam, long before the opening was a fact. The reason for that? 1) Smoking Barrels is located on Beukenplein in Amsterdam East, completely renovated and soon to be one of the most beautiful squares in the city. 2) The second one already houses on the square Bar Brewer, Cafe Maxwell (more on that in a moment), it Ice cream rascal and Coffee Bru, to name a few. 3) Smokin' Barrels is owned by the guys who also run Cafe Maxwell (that one), Bar Bukowski (just a few meters away) and darling the Beer Garden. 4) the building has a lovely patio. 5) a proven concept on the menu: surf & turf 2014 style, burgers vs lobster. But also tournedos, a picobello lobster bisque and lettuce, that too. The chocolate mousse is... well, plain yum. 6) On tap, including that other favorite, Brooklyn Brewery. Smokin' Barrels
