Patience was put to the test, but it was well worth the wait; On March 30, 2022, Stadsbrouwerij RoodNoot finally opened its doors. And what exactly have we been waiting for? Well, on chickens in the yard, horses in the meadow and brewing kettles in the hay barn. On the border of Utrecht and Leidsche Rijn, an old stable was transformed into a cozy tasting room with a sustainable restaurant. Voilà , RoodNoot was created.
Centuries ago it was a dairy farm, but today you can enjoy a freshly tapped beer at RoodNoot on perhaps the sunniest terrace in the always nice Utrecht. Plus point: we cook with delicious regional products and fresh ingredients from our own garden. RoodNoot is a monumental farm from 1880 and is now a meeting place for everyone. With the surprising cultural programming, there is always something to do for young and old, whether you are a city person or a village person.
City brewery RoodNoot was set up by Fardusa, Thom and Wil, three beer and catering enthusiasts with a background in healthcare. Their idea: bringing together the love for craft beer, good food and care. And we succeeded, RoodNoot believes it is important to give everyone a chance, whatever your background. In this way, people with a psychiatric background are offered a safe workplace to learn a position and thus reintegrate into the labor market. Nice concept, nice stable, good beer and good food. The key word? Patience, just like in the age-old brewing process.
