The Throsby, Wollongong (Australia)
Those Aussies like a drink, that shouldn't be a secret. Wine bar The Throsby, on Kembla Str. and named after explorer Charles Throsby, cleverly responds to this with an extensive menu full of European but also local wines, all tasted and selected by the owners Erick Zaallos and Maddie Sullivan. The two also serve a number of small snacks, different ones cheese boards and other delicacies. The staff can help you decide which drink goes best with the prosciutto and finnochiona and if you are a cheese lover, you can't believe your luck here. At the end of the evening they will happily call a taxi for you if you have drunk just a little too much wine to toddle to your sleeping place for another half hour (or so we hear). The Throsby
