Tipi Island @ Campspirit (De Kluut)

In the love-hate category: camping. You either hate it or you love it, although there is no doubt that every child likes it (right?). In the category Gotta love: the island The Avocet and there the teepee tents Camp spirit, even if only for 1 night (everyone survives that, right?). In the middle of Lake Veluwe, near Harderwijk, there is a small island, De Kluut. Sleeping on an uninhabited island, in your own mini territory (because tents are placed exactly in such a way that everyone has their own spot). Dream plan.

On part of that island, Campspirit does exactly what they promise: in fully and comfortably furnished, authentic tents of traditional nomadic peoples you can - oh dear - camp in relative luxury (read: no lugging around. And there are showers with hot water). For example, in the well-known Indian tepee tent or in a Yur, a nomad tent from Mongolia (as you see on Texel also have). There are also two communal refrigerators and there is electricity to charge mobile devices (quite nice). In the harbor basin with mooring posts, there is room to moor your boat. It is also the place where, for convenience, the ferry to Flevoland departs 4 times a day. Or stay on the island and use the swimming jetty (including air mattresses, surfboards and canoe). No child wants to go home.
