Tips for staying indoors during Corona
#Bartstaysinside. Hopefully you too? In the pre-childhood era, we had finally read that list of books, watched those documentaries, and probably had a love baby in nine months. You have to do something. But with kids who are not allowed to go to school or go outside due to COVID-19, it is an art not to drive each other crazy. And of posterity. Useful daily programs are circulating on social media and secretly we are also busy creating some structure at home, but we keep it fun. The following tips will help you and your family get through the Coronacation. In the words of Extince: 'young parents put it on!'.
Children's yoga can be done from a very young age. We normally like the best Wobbelyoga variant and now we pull one every morning Wobbelyoga card. Music to our homebound ears because how fun and relaxing (also for yourself) to listen to and watch fairy tales and other stories together.
Unless you're blessed with a bunch of quiet minis, you know that kids will have your house renovated in no time. They have to run, rush, climb and clamber. Make a virtue of necessity and spend an hour in monkey cages every day. We build a course together with our children at home TriClimb, which even the youngest member is already thundering over. And with a sheet over it, it is a tent, where the cooling down takes place after the monkey cages.
Next level but oh so beautiful: the butterfly project inspired by the current exhibition by Carlos Amorales. Together with your little crea bea in the craft club, cut butterflies and stick them on the window. The fun one @marissa.curated As always, he sets a good example and introduced the hashtag #knippentijdenscorona. Let's do it.

What will happen despite all the misery: spring will come. Remember, we were all looking forward to that and even though things turned out a little differently, this is the time to make a project out of De Moestuin. Just in your own backyard or on the balcony. Fun and educational, because we bet that your sprout will check every morning to see if it can already be harvested. We are fans of the Easy Vegetable GardenGrowing your own vegetables and herbs doesn't get more foolproof than that.
We let the offspring out once a day in a virus-free place. The forest, the dunes, the beach. A breath of fresh air for everyone and getting dirty. Then take a long bath, we're not in a hurry anyway. It should be no secret that our children smell like... Naïve, from head to toe. Furthermore, in the bath the colorful toys from Liewood and the cheerful bath books from Wee Gallery which discolour when they get wet. You can also put older children to work at the table with the books: just bring out a cup of water, a brush and the colors.

Bake a large supply of banana bread, date bars and cupcakes yourself. It will save you an hour and then they will last another fifteen minutes while eating them. Can you just drink your coffee for a moment? Win-win. A tried and tested scones recipe:
What should go in it?
- 125 g butter (cold!)
- 450 gr self-raising flour
- 2 tl baking powder
- 50 g icing sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 150ml buttermilk
- optionally add: pieces of dark chocolate, cranberries or raisins.
How?
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Cut the butter into cubes. Mix the flour, baking powder, icing sugar and salt in a bowl. Add the butter and knead into a dough. When it comes together a little more, add the buttermilk and make a nice dough. If you have one of the optionals at home, add it. From the ball of dough, make a slab of dough (roll it or flatten it well with your fingers) to a thickness of 1 cm. Take a cup or glass and make sure that a 4 cm circle is cut out. Place them on the baking tray and bake for 12 minutes until lightly brown. Delicious with whipped cream or jam.
