Chill, chill and chill even more. The Windhoek Resort consists of twelve small villas that are spread out in a tropical garden and are fully equipped. Although when you hear the word 'villa' you may think of a huge house that is way too big for you and yours inner circle, things are of course different here: on the Windhoek Resort you will find handsome but modest examples with one or two bedrooms. Modest in terms of occupancy; in terms of comfort it is a different story. The bathroom has a rain shower, the bedroom has a four-poster bed and patio doors to the terrace (read: your living room these days), and anyone who is crazy enough to get behind the stove on holiday can enjoy themselves in the kitchen. It's nice: the kitchen is in a separate room, so you don't have to worry about odors or kids knocking over the pans.

Windhoek has her formal and casual looks and charm is not only due to the fact that it is located on a lovely island. The resort was designed by architect Piet Boon, who created an unmistakably casual Bali meets Bonaire managed to create an atmosphere. There is one next to the large swimming pool palapa. Nice word, nice place. Under this canopy of palm leaves you can hang out at the bar, play darts (if that's your thing), or seek the shade if you've been in the sun for just a little too long.
