Miami's (and mine!!) favorite restaurant is Yardbird, Southern Table & Bar. Southern it is: they have to be super duper dominant healthy Miami know nothing. You can eat the tastiest chicken legs I have ever eaten, but above all, especially the 'mama's biscuits': typical New Orleans cookie-esque sandwiches with fried chicken, ham or jam. A kind of savory cakes that yours truly still dreams of. But there is more. Ribs for example, which I normally don't get excited about, but these... you get the point. And chicken, also fantastic. Make sure you leave room for dessert: Oreo cake or an unprecedented accumulation of all kinds of desserts in one. Never to be told and yet unforgettable. yardbird (note the name of the website)
