Yours Boutique Hotel, Valencia
Ha, we've been waiting for this for a while. After 4 years the ABCyou story ends as we knew it. The people behind the B&B hand over the keys but they are definitely not going to take it easy: they are starting their own boutique hotel Valencia which will open in a few months (June 2021)! A location that stands out: close to the historic center, but located in the more local and pleasant Ruzafa district. Large rooms, bright apartments, a sunny garden with swaying palm trees and a clear blue swimming pool. We are already counting down until June 2021!
Where there is travelling, there must also be driving! A nice tip (which we really shouldn't want to share yet, but hey, we're not the worst) is Yours Boutique Hotel. In 2013, the owners, Daphne and Wouter, arrived in Valencia for the first time and it was love at first sight. The beautiful climate and relaxed atmosphere provided the ultimate relaxation and it was time to work on dreams (and hopefully see them come true).
After successfully running the ABCyou for a few years, it was time to go one step further: build your own boutique hotel from the ground up. A place where everything comes together. The search for the perfect property was not easy. In 2017, an old laundromat caught their eye – you have to admit, that sounds pretty cool. When they went inside, it felt like going back in time: there was still furniture from residents who had left long ago. And then the moment came, in 2019 they could finally start construction of the hotel. Construction has been going on for more than a year and well... It looks like the long wait will be more than worth it. The 12 serene rooms radiate tranquility, as are the stairs very chic and those concrete walls in combination with those beautiful plants are simply enviable. You can also rent a bicycle and take a tour through Valencia like a true Dutch person. It bodes well, right?
