Update: After 4 years of guests, the ABCyou adventure ends as we knew it! The people behind the B&B hand over the keys (no idea what's to come) but for good reason: they are starting a new boutique hotel in Valencia that will open in early 2019. So we'll have to wait a little while, but then it will definitely be a ball in the heart of Ruzafa, with a view of the newly constructed "Marque Central", where the hotel will make money. Large rooms, bright apartments, a sunny garden with swaying palm trees and a clear blue swimming pool. We can't wait until January 2019! 

Where there is travelling, there must be driving. The best tip (which we really shouldn't want to share, but hey, we're not the worst) is ABC You. The bed & breakfast is run by a young Dutch couple who were fed up with the daily grind in Holland and wanted a nice B&B 'somewhere', preferably in Spain and preferably in Valencia. That didn't work out, so the two left for Asia. What does chance want? In the last week of their sabbatical, an email pops into owner Wouter's inbox: whether he and girlfriend Daphne are interested in taking over B&B ABC You? In Valencia? And to add to the coincidence: the former owner is currently on the same Thai island. So the cat is in the cup.

After a major renovation (which could have been a bit more modern), the result was the end of 2013: a modern B&B Slash coffee and breakfast shop. The rooms are light and fresh and with authentic Spanish details and vintage finds here and there. We especially recommend the two basement rooms connected by a private garden: perfect for a mini holiday with friends. And even if ABC You is full (it's not big), pop in for a cup of coffee and a nice chat. ABC You
