The Amsterdam Jordaan: considered by Amsterdammers to be the nicest neighborhood in Amsterdam. Narrow streets, small houses, brown pubs, cool shops and the always bustling Noordermarkt. About the latter, one must visit during your tour of Jordaan. It is especially busy during market hours (Saturday and Monday morning). You can buy fresh vegetables, fruit, bread, cheese, meat and wine, as well as antiques and vintage items at the market stalls. And this square is always fun, so go outside the 'rush hour' and settle down at one (or more) hotspot. 7x where to go on the Amsterdam Noordermarkt!

You will find it in an authentic corner building Shop 43. The place to be for the most-most-most delicious apple pie in Amsterdam (and perhaps the whole of the Netherlands). In addition to this famous apple pie, the menu also includes a delicious lunch, drinks and dinner. If you are lucky, you can enjoy this on the terrace in the sun, both in summer and winter!

A little bit France, but in the heart of Amsterdam. Bee Petit Café Libertine you're fine. This all-day spot exudes French charm. The interior is reminiscent of a brasserie that you see around French antique markets: marble tables, wooden chairs and sofas with red leather. Here you can quietly enjoy a breakfast with croissants and freshly baked cakes, lunch with club sandwiches and all kinds of eggs or a drink/dinner with wine and mussels.

For a modern Mediterranean Food settle down Restaurant Domenica. The small menu features Italian classics (malfatti, pasta carbonara), but also non-Italian dishes from the rest of Europe. All dishes are made with great attention to local products, and the wines also come from talented winemakers. We think it's great!

Oh yeah, fun fact. Domenica means Sunday in Italian. And that is also the day to get together and enjoy an extensive meal. At Restaurant Domenica you can (luckily!) sit down from Tuesday to Sunday and enjoy all the goodies.

Since 1990 (!) there has been a restaurant on the Lindengracht – near Noordermarkt Toscanini. Here you eat Italian, often classic, often with your own twist. Chef Leonardo Pacenti (South African with Italian roots) cooks with a lot of passion, from his intuition and with products that he has available at the time. For this reason, the menu changes regularly and there are also daily specials. Want to taste everything? Visiting more often is one thing Must!

Be surprised by Toscanini (trust us: it certainly won't disappoint you)

You can reach it just around the corner from the Noordermarkt, on the Prinsengracht New Dutch pop in for breakfast and lunch. The small business is cozy and decorated from head to toe with art, marble and neon light. All cheerfulness. Here you can start the day with a cup of coffee and end it with a good glass of wine. Especially when the sun shines. You can sit here on the terrace on the canal. Further on the map? avocado toast, fluffy pancakes and club sandwiches.

Coffee bar, hang-out, workplace and Friday pre-drinks spot (but closed after 21 p.m.). The pros? Voila: top location, around the corner from the Noordermarkt and Haarlemmerstraat. Bee Toki everything is equally beautiful, both furnishings and products; beers from the English (from Hackney) Crate (not just a nice packaging!), coffee from Amsterdam, among others Stoker, granola from the equally Amsterdam-based G for Granola (highly recommended anyway!) and tea from Brooklyn based Bello CQ. In short: for all the good things, go to Toki.

Restaurant Koevoet sounds and looks like a Mokems dining room. Ha! Not nice. The eatery is run by a team of pure-bred Italians who speak poor Dutch, slightly better English and serve a fantastic burrata (perhaps the tastiest in Amsterdam), a delicious ravioli en carne prepare and enjoy the scroppino at your table. Often full, but early or late in the evening you can always find a table in the noisy upstairs room.
