Hotel in The Netherlands, Amsterdam

Hyatt Regency, Amsterdam

The hotel is top-notch for several reasons and a great base, whether you are on a business trip, want to go out for a weekend, have a meeting or want to dine extensively at the in-house restaurant Mama Makan.

Hyatt Regency Amsterdam is, yes, in the middle of our capital. If that's not enough reason to go, Hyatt Regency has a few more tricks up its sleeve. One thing is certain: there is plenty to do here, regardless of whether you are a night owl or an early bird. Located on the border of bustling Amsterdam East you will find restaurants, museums, parks and more within a somersault distance. The hotel is for several reasons top notch and a superb base, whether you are on a business trip, want to get away for a weekend, have a meeting, want to have drinks in the bar, or want to have an extensive dinner at en casa restaurant Mama Makan. After a long day (or night) on the road, come back here for your dose of rest. There is a fitness room (24 hours), a steam bath, sauna, experience showers (scent, light, sound) and Essence Spa for a treatmentof your choice. Have you become completely zen and now it's time for some excitement? Then you can just roll over for a game of pool in the lounge or take a seat at the bar. Enough botanical cocktails to sip until the early hours.

At Hyatt Regency they have breathed new life into the interior with the perfect combination of city and a bit of greenery. You will find this everywhere in the hotel: from the restaurant, the bar, the lounge, the rooms to the terrace in the courtyard. The hotel has hit the nail on the head with the award-winning living decoration wall in the lobby. They breathe sustainability in and out: from award-winning vertical gardens, electric charging stations to a BREEAM Excellent certificate. Already a fan? Then definitely consider the room with entrance to the Regency Club - then you are completely at home.

Location, location, location

Amsterdam East, one of the most upcoming places in Amsterdam for that cozy neighborhood feeling, various catering establishments and endless terrace hopping. Hyatt Regency is right in the middle, in a convenient central location and a stone's throw from public transport. But many great places can also be reached on foot or you can explore at your leisure with one of the hotel bicycles. Even better, take a different tack and rent an electric boat from Sloop parts for a trip on the canals. You decide how you want to discover the city: strolling through the streets or on the water, with a good glass of wine and the canals as your view. This hotel is located in what they call Amsterdam's cultural backyard: De Plantage. Around here you'll find local cultural hotspots like it Oosterpark (perfect for a summer picnic), the Artis Royal Zoo, the Tropenmuseum and the Hortus Botanicus. You get it: all those botanical ones vibes have inspired the hotel's green and lively design.

The eye wants something too

The interior is unmissable: green plus sustainable is the theme and that is reflected in everything. All types of plants on the wall, from the ceiling to the patio. Worth a round of applause for how you can still give an urban hotel such a green and tropical vibe. Hyatt Regency has high ceilings, steel decorations, velvet sofas, colorful rugs and a round bar in the lobby and restaurant. The warm, dark colors in the hotel furniture and rooms give it a homely atmosphere, but with that luxurious touch. The areas of the hotel rooms are well used and equipped with all modern amenities. From a bath in the middle of the room, a walk-in rain shower to your own living space. But it just depends on how much of a big, luxurious cat you are.

Restaurants nearby

At in-house Mama Makan and you will love their Indonesian cuisine. From gado gado, perkedel jagung (corn fritter) and a pineapple curry, all of which are even better with a beer pairing. A short (and definitely worth it) walk further you will reach the Plantagebuurt. Café Restaurant de Plantage opened with the front door on Plantage Kerklaan and the terrace adjacent to Artis. The menu features seasonal dishes while you can see the flamingos from a distance.

Amsterdam East is large and full of nice restaurants. For example, we still have the Entrepotdok around the corner from Kadijksplein. A changing menu with exciting, but at the same time comfortable dishes on the program. From green star to Michelin star + green star, hoppa! From Kas did it. This restaurant mainly serves vegetables based on it plant to plate principle: harvested in the morning and on your plate in the afternoon. Last but not least: all the bars and terraces in East. Definitely do: have a beer tasting at Brouwerij 't IJ right under the mill or visit the local pub Café Kuijpers for a good conversation or dance with the locals.

Keffers & Kroost

Yep, take that bite with you! You can't take your kids to Amsterdam early enough (adventure enough) and the keffers are also very welcome. It is a dog-friendly hotel because: bed, toys and food bowls are ready. Please bring house-trained four-legged friends; the plants get enough water.
