All addresses on this site, if they were a statue, could be in a display cabinet. But some simply deserve a place at the front. Country estate Plantage in the town of Vogelenzang, a hamlet between the North Sea and Hoofddorp, is one of those. Although the slow food & mood (that's what they call it, it covers it well) place is especially popular during the day, in the summer on the outside area, in the winter near the enormous fireplace, the dinner moment is our favorite.

Perhaps for that very reason: once the parents have stuffed and wiped the children's toes, the swings stop swinging and the jeeps drive off the grounds behind the garden center again - it takes a bit of searching when you arrive - the calm falls over Buitenplaats. Plantation and you really notice how relaxed it is there. As mentioned, on the menu you will find slow food dishes, everything organic, everything nicely prepared and brought to your table with the same ease - a slowness that may be irritating elsewhere, but which does not exist here. gets on your nerves at the moment.

There is plenty to see in the truly beautiful greenhouse, once part of the garden center at the front. If you get bored, the friendly boy from the wait staff will come and sit with you for a while. until you are served the côte de boeuf from the Lindenhoff, then it can go again. All attention for this dish. Then you go to the table where the homemade cakes of the day are displayed. Success. Also includes gadogado, stuffed pumpkin with crab chili, Lebanese croutons and pumpkin seeds, and soggy buns with duck. The pizza with grilled vegetables is standard on the menu and is delicious.
