Don't-tell-anymore favorite: Café de Parel Amsterdam (Jordaan)
It is not without reason that there is a waiting list for Café de Parel Amsterdam (Jordaan) on weekend days... It is crazy. So yes, if you want to go on the weekend, make your reservations in advance. Café de Parel Amsterdam is very hot.
Café de Parel Amsterdam (Jordaan) is the coziest restaurant in Amsterdam, we would dare to say (yes, it is small and therefore very cozy) and is located in the wonderful Westerstraat. Top location and perfect for walking after a day in the center/Amsterdam (plus: great distance from central station, that too).
When you see the building from the street side you think of a brown pub, when you step inside you see a very nice restaurant.
Café de Parel serves a standard menu with a choice of 4 or 5 courses. Very nice if you are not on the seesaw and have time for an evening of relaxing, eating good food and drinking excellent wine.
De Parel's wine list is enormous and the choice is enormous. Be sure to let the staff advise you – they will present you with the most original options. The wines are natural and therefore somewhat lighter. If you want wines to match the menu, that is possible; then you alternate each round with a different glass. So diverse. And fun.
The menu is nice and diverse with many different flavors. As far as we were told, there are only fish and vegetarian dishes. Great and you definitely won't miss that meat; the kitchen works with refined flavors, making every course a complete surprise.
