Indoor glamping in Amsterdam East at Outside Inn
Camping in winter or early spring? Meh, no, a bit too cold. But if it still tickles you, what then?
Willem Megens, the restorer of old cars, also understood this. In fact, his idea is quite brilliant. He has merged his two greatest passions (cars and travel) into a fantastic indoor campsite, Outside Inn. That glamping was in an old warehouse Amsterdam Oost (want to discover more in the nice Amsterdam East? Then you should also take a look at this list: the nicest addresses in Amsterdam East) and at Outside Inn you can stay in one of the fully renovated vintage caravans, or in one of the five beach houses (with a nice color) with beach sand in front of the door (just like a real holiday). And for the romantics among us in a Pipo the Clown car! Sounds like a fun weekend, right?
Yes we do think so! To create that perfect sleeping place(s), Willem has done everything with his own hands oldies transformed into beautifully decorated rooms. To make it as luxurious as possible for guests, brand new shower and toilet rooms have also been installed (so you don't have to go out into the rain with your shower supplies under your arm). Handy! There is a private terrace in front of the door where you can enjoy a good book or a nice drink. At the beach houses (inspired by the pastel colored houses in Willemstad on Curaçao) you walk across the wooden decking and relax and park your feet in the white sand. You don't have to go far to get to Ibiza vibe to get under your feet ;).
It's more than glamping. You don't have to look for breakfast somewhere yourself, a breakfast prepared down to the last detail simply comes to your caravan or beach house. Breakfast in bed or on your private terrace it is! Not only breakfast, but also a relaxation area with sofas where you can relax with a beer from the tap (or something else).
