3x Cultural hotspots in Groningen with a nice restaurant
There is little as nice as combining an exhibition, concert or film with good food. The full package, just saying. One of those days that screams 'Sunday'. We like! In Groningen they (or actually 'we', because this article is written by Groningen ambassador Jose) are a number of nice places where this is possible and we would like to share them of course. You're welcome!
The Oosterpoort is known as the place in the North to go for the best concerts (including Eurosonic Noorderslag!).
De Oosterpoort recently also has a brand new one restaurant: The Mix. The Mix is a small reference to the menu: street food dishes from all over the world, which you mix together according to your own taste. Also perfect for sharing. The restaurant area is nice vibe and gives you the feeling that you are eating outside on a summer evening. We can never get enough of that feeling and that's why we think The Mix is very tip-worthy!

In the heart of Groningen, on the Nieuwe Markt, you will find Forum Groningen.
Forum is a meeting place for everyone who is curious about the world of today and the possibilities of tomorrow. With major exhibitions, the Storyworld museum, five cinemas, the library and the Smartlab, there is always something to do. And yes, with a nice restaurant with a spectacular view of the city center: NOK.
You can have drinks, lunch and dinner there. The last 2 can be served a la carte, but you can also be surprised by the monthly changing three, four or five course menu devised by the chefs: SKYHIGH Menu (tip!).
You can go to DOT for a lot of things. You better ask yourself why not. Music, dancing, theater, film, exhibitions, presentations, you name it. In winter, DOT's white ball (dome) is transformed into the largest Christmas ball in the world and in summer DOT has the city beach praised by Lonely Planet. And it must be said: DOT has one of the nicest terraces in Groningen. Then of course one of the most important things: good food! At DOT the most delicious street food dishes are served, with a good playlist in the background, which creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. By the way, it's all really great kid proof!
