This holiday home is located just within the borders of the Netherlands - and a stone's throw from Germany and Belgium De Heerlijkheid in Vijlen, Limburg. In the middle of the rolling hills, the special Hans & Grietje house is ready for a weekend or holiday in your own country. There are beautiful places to walk, a bakery and cozy restaurants within walking distance. And Aachen and Maastricht are also nearby. Although it is not bad in and around the house with its fireplace and beautiful view.
Medieval half-timbered houses – with dark beams and white plasterwork – are common in England and Germany. They are a special feature in the Netherlands. De Heerlijkheid has two holiday homes in this style: Lomberg (for 6 to 10 people) and Hans & Grietje (for 2 to 4 people + possibly 1-2 small children). Hansel & Gretel – the name already gives it away – is an attractive house with a fireplace and a view over the beautiful Limburg meadows and orchards. Very much a holiday feeling. A perfect holiday spot to spend some time together, cook a delicious meal, take a walk, read and have a drink by the fireplace. In the area you can walk and tour past farms, estates and vineyards. At De Heerlijkheid it is like being in France, but in your own country.
