Tante Tilly is a brasserie with a vintage twist in historic Roermond

The concept of Aunt Tilly is - with a wink - inspired by the story of Roermond's first feminist and the Netherlands' first female councilor, Mathilda Haan. She was affectionately called 'Aunt Tilly' by the family. The parental home of 'Tanty Tilly' is directly opposite the brasserie. One and one is two and voilà: that's how the name of the brasserie was found. What can you find at Aunt Tilly? Conviviality, good food between 10.30:22.30 am and XNUMX:XNUMX pm and an attractive interior. You step inside and you don't know where to look. Think contrasting colors with bold color combinations, feathers (yes, a lot of them!), vintage furniture, cuddly wallpaper and fresh flowers. Rich, warm and cozy. The minimalist style has been completely thrown aside at this brasserie, which is also nice, and you are surrounded by a warm and colorful interior. More colorful than fur, yet still matching. Inspiration everywhere. We like.
Making a choice between all the dishes on the menu becomes difficult. Good news: there is the option for one shared dining menu consisting of all kinds of different hot and cold dishes. Think of dishes such as gently cooked salmon prepared in Thai style, roasted celeriac and beef sirloin steak with chimichurri. With desserts included, of course. We never say no to a cheese board.
