De Kade, for a perfect evening out for dinner in The Hague

De Kade, for a perfect evening out for dinner in The Hague

Anyone who knows the Dunne Bierkade in The Hague knows that it is all good there these days. Tables on the water, lots of fun and easy to reach (you can park there for a maximum of two hours by car and public transport stops in the street). If we tell you that From Kadé is also located there, it is a double celebration. The Kade is located next to Basaal restaurant - also a huge winner in 070 - and with the love for natural wine, things are going well at the Bierkade.

From Kadé

At From Kadé they think a lot about the menu. It must meet a number of requirements, such as ingredients that are preferably as local as possible and quality of the highest quality. These standards often provide a chic, slightly stiff tent. This is certainly not the case at De Kade. Loose and cozy – that is the Kade.

We can safely say that the menu offers something for everyone. Delicious burrata (note, the peppers may be a bit too spicy for some) an amazing tomato salad (this sounds disrespectful, we don't mean it that way!) and the most delicious beef tacos, which are really tasty and tender. Like an angel pissing on your tongue.

Often three or four dishes are enough for two people, but the friendly staff are only too happy to advise you on this. Small bites it is – sharing is caring.

You don't have to be sad about the wine list either. Natural wines predominate but are extremely accessible, even for non-enthusiastic enthusiasts. Many wines are available by the glass and if you want the bottle - then the choice is enormous. Six pages full.

On the non-alcohol tour? You can feel free to indulge yourself. At De Kade they make the most delicious juices from fermented items. Everything homemade. Thick like.

Apart from the delicious food and fine drinks, the Kade is a very cozy and pleasant place to be. This way you can take a seat on the terrace on the water, but you can't just sit outside. Inside it is cozy with wooden tables and a nice mix of chairs - stylishly done, that is.

Finished eating? The Kade is perfectly located and you can easily walk to the station or back into the busy city. Until the next one!
