De Naaierij in The Hague: a cozy repair café where sewing is made hip again
We were already fans of the Sewing in The Hague, they also got a nice new place. At De Naaierij they want to help you look at clothing with a creative and conscious view. They do this through repair & sewing lessons, but also with the repair service. And that new location is in Weimarstraat! (Corner; Suezkade 48). Party right there.
Why a party? Good question. Because we work hard for a fashionable world full of sustainable clothing. De Naaierij is a repair café where you can learn to repair your own clothes - comfortably with a cup of tea. Because, as the motto of very young owners Isabel and Roosmarijn goes, 'we are not going to repair for you, but we can teach you how to do it.'
You can reach it next to the repair café The Sewing Company also available for other sustainable events. For example, the girls organize clothing swap evenings or movie evenings with the (sustainable) fashion industry as their theme. You can also rent sewing machines there.
