Flying Pig, Antwerp
1. The further south the better.
2. Winter is the best time of the year (sorry, I think)
3. We are still not tired of food festivals (as long as they are not ridiculously busy), because they are often the place where you can taste the most delicious food.
So we are quite crazy - to speak with the Flemish - about the Belgian Flying Pig, an organization that pops up on the squares of Antwerp's historic city center. We quote: In his 'lap of delights' oFlying Pig welcomes you to the activity that life is all about: chasing a Friday night worth remembering with friends. In plain Dutch: music, food, drinks, nice people and a pleasant atmosphere that lasts remarkably long. The next edition, the winter edition, is Friday 11 December. From five o'clock the fires are lit and the winter bar opens with locks of jenever, mulled wine, jäger and other goodies. For a bit of a base there are hearty dishes and typical winter dishes from the food trucks on the Napoleankaai. flying pig
