GUEST HOUSE KRUISBERG, HEEMSKERK

Admittedly, it is quite a 'hassle' to get there, but that is probably why it is so nice. This centuries-old farm is located in a sheltered spot, against a dune in the North Holland Dune Reserve. You need an access pass to enter this nature reserve (available at the various entrances to the area or online via PWN) and then you can only get around by bike, on horseback or on foot. But fair is fair; then you have something too. So you can go to Gasterij Kruisberg, with or without the equally hidden beach of Heemskerk (and beach pavilion The Freedom). At the Kruisberg you eat organic highlander burgers, from the Highlander cows that you see grazing everywhere in the dunes. Or other home-made delicacies for big and small guests. A hidden gem. Almost too nice to share...! Gasterij Kruisberg
