A stone's throw from the Texel Yurts (see 15 x Texel) do you think the Colorful Experience, a beautiful petting zoo with a tea garden where you can relax and sip some hot water and let the children play. But there is more! You can also enjoy a delicious high tea, with delicious sweets on the side, they have delicious homemade beers (Windforce 10) and the owners distill their own whiskey here. The only Texel whisky! Bam. And so a kids recommendation promptly became not so child-friendly, but it was mom and dad friendly and we like that just as much.

Also nice: Landgoed de Bonte Belevenis makes really nice stuff itself, secretly also fun for yourself. They received so many good reactions that last year they opened a store in Den Burg: Bont en Bijzonder. Also nice to pop in.

Nature and sculpture garden De Wije Blick has no website, is completely unknown and therefore perhaps a bit unloved, but therefore also wonderful to stroll around for the ultimate discovery-place feeling. There is even a cute holiday home.

Also too fun not to do, for example combined with a visit to De Oude Vismarkt in Oudeschild, is De Zelfpluktuin. That's what it sounds like: a colorful and fragrant garden where you can pick your own flowers and fruit. Educational and fun!
