Hof van Kleeberg: the perfect B&B in beautiful Mechelen
You know it, the feeling of looking forward to a trip: rest, nature, but preferably not too far a drive or trains. Well, Limburg - and in particular Mechelen (the Dutch Mechelen in South Limburg, so not the Belgian one!) - with its beautiful Geuldal is your answer to that question.
Hof van Kleeberg has reopened there since spring 2023; fresh rooms, beautiful interior and everything you want when you are looking for some peace and quiet in Limburg for a few days.
When you drive up, you already feel like you're in a fairytale, surreal landscape. That is the power of the Geuldal. After a number of provincial roads you arrive in beautiful Mechelen. Known for its beautiful cycling and walking routes. In and around the Geul valley, yes the river that flows through it.
You will find Hof van Kleeberg a 2-minute walk from the pleasant village center. A beautiful building that Erik and Margreet designed themselves. An old house was the basis, the rest has been added and the entire building has been made more sustainable.
Apart from the fantastic view, there is also plenty to do within the Hof van Kleeberg. There is a nice area to relax, with a football table and room to play games. There is also a walking café where you can have a small drink, coffee or snack. Breakfast is also served here every morning.
All rooms are fully equipped and furnished with care. We have a slight preference for the rooms that overlook the garden with a terrace on the Geuldal. It doesn't get any better. Erik and Margreet know the area like the back of their hand and can give you the best tips when it comes to walking routes, nice places and great restaurants.
