The best of both worlds of which the wildly attractive Strandhotel is the unmissable epicenter. Of course you can take a dip in the North Sea all year round, and that is healthy and very good for you, but often also freezing (hello, the Netherlands). Fortunately, the hotel has a sauna to warm up and you can swim laps in the hotel's heated indoor pool all year round. They don't offer massages, you can look at your partner sweetly for that.

Thermen Bad Nieuweschans, Groningen. In the far north of the Netherlands lies Thermen Bad Nieuweschans. Think: peace, space, and wellness as nature intended. This wellness resort boasts saunas and a beautiful sauna garden, as well as mineral baths with healing water from its own spring. And, of course, a wonderful wellness hotel where you can enjoy it all for several days.
This photogenic free port, Vrijhaven Zwier, is a fifteen-minute drive from Amsterdam (near Vinkeveen) and is a so-called hideaway. And in those few minutes, you'll feel like you've entered a completely different world, with idyllic country lanes, chugging boats, and curious ducks.
