The nicest places in Ibiza lockdown style

For all Ibiza fans, for anyone who wants to dream away for a moment. For all people who just like it or for all Barts Boekje readers in Ibiza (there are secretly quite a lot of them), these are the nicest places in Ibiza at the moment.

Bart has quite a few favorite holiday spots, but we can safely say that Barts beachy island is Ibiza after all. It Spanish island is never boring. Even now in Corona/ lockdown The island is one of those places where you would love to be. For all non-Ibiza residents here, the tips in this article will also be great fun as soon as it is possible to spend a holiday in Ibiza again.

The perfect base Can Sastre

The perfect base Can Sastre

Ibiza needs no introduction, but this spot is not (yet) well known. And yet the location of Can Sastre perfect: Can Sastre is located off the beaten track, but still close to the really nice places all-time favorite Ibiza, near the village of Santa Gertrudis in the middle of Ibiza, exactly where you want to be. Boutique hotel Can Sastre is still an undiscovered pearl on the always wonderful Ibiza. Authentic, tastefully decorated, off the beaten track and yet close to everything.

Boutique hotel Can Sastre is a small-scale agroturismo where you can enjoy yourself for various reasons. Here you will experience a perfectly balanced combination of looks, hospitality and delicious food. The Hague owners Bibi and Raymond bought the finca and transformed it within a week into the beautiful rental-ready accommodation that it is today. On the grounds of Can Sastre there are three casitas and two villa suites, all stylishly decorated to delight you. There are soft sleep-out beds, in the shower you will find fine Meraki products and each house has a private terrace.

When designing the hotel, Bibi and Raymond were inspired by their travels. There are a few mirrors and dream catchers inside, but the whole is stylishly subdued. Characteristic of Can Sastre are all the cozy seats with mountains of cushions. And the bar is one of those where you can get your own drinks. What's on the breakfast menu? An Açai bowl, fresh juices, toast with poached eggs, avocado and chili flakes. All products come from local suppliers and are delivered fresh daily. Taste you. If you decide to go for a pool day, which we would welcome, then the sunbeds and parasols are waiting for you.

Hike hike hike

Hike hike hike

Believe it or not, it seems as if the entire island suddenly started hiking. Of course, it's not that crazy because it's wonderful outside and hiking in Ibiza simply provides some damn beautiful views. Win-win: a boost of vitamin D, being active is healthy and it is a fun activity since there is not much else to do.

Where should you hike next? Of course Ibiza is a nice blog that gives the best hiking tips about different routes with or without kids. Normally after a long walk you end up on the terrace, but how nice is it to see a different side of the island with a picnic basket.

Favorite hike routes

  • From Siesta to Cala Blanca, through a very cool cave with a picture-perfect view
  • From Playa s'Estanyol (cala Bonita) to Cala Espart
  • Everything around Cala d'hort and es Vedra —> Atlantis for the next level hike

Beach and more

Beach and more

Playa d'en Bossa is now whole relaxed. You don't want to be there in the summer, but now... the water is so clear and the beach is so vast. This makes you feel like you're always kind of the only one. And that is quite special on Playa d'en Bossa.

SUPing is now also wonderful. Compared to the high season and summer, there is no one on the water now. No boats, swimming tourists or other suppers that you have to take into account. Enjoy floating on your SUP board Amsterdam canals are a bit less attractive 😉

For all kite surfers Formentera the hotspot. You take the boat from Ibiza town and you can reach Formentera within an hour. Definitely highly recommended. When travel is possible again, a trip to Formentera is a good idea.

Nuture is calling (with or without kids)

Spring is in full swing in Ibiza and that creates very romantic views. The fields are full of yellow flowers - the chewchews - and apparently you can eat them. Tasty? Mmm give it a try. The fact that it is a nice decoration for the home chefs is one thing fact.
The almond trees that are now in bloom are also so beautiful, which simply creates beautiful pictures. That spring feeling makes you forget the rest a bit (pandemic speaking).

Magical Horses

For all Ibiza residents Magical Horses you have to be in Ibiza. They organize all kinds of activities such as: a horse riding camp for the children, treasure hunting in the caves around Cala D'hort, roasting marshmallows in homemade campfires, collecting herbs and so on. All this in a magical place and with such sweet horses. All cowboys and Indians gather together. Please note, these activities are only possible during the corona pandemic. Oh and for all the fashionistas here you can rent the location for photo shoots.
