5 x (great) organic farms in Ibiza
If you are one of the lucky few who manage to travel to the paradise that is Ibiza this fall, you will have to look for alternatives to the fancy clubs and restaurants. Our advice? Back to the farm. Here are a few ultimate tips (also more than fun for kids!).
Undoubtedly one of the most famous and handsome farms of the island. La Granja. Here you can as we speak Before they close this season, just watch the sunset behind the hills of Sant Antonie in a fancy dress for a few last days while sipping a cocktail. Here (earlier article) you will find more information about this beautiful eco hotel/restaurant.
But there is more hot & happening in Ibiza farm train.
This idyllic setting is more of the 'feet in the clay' caliber and a real treat for kids. Bee Can Muson it's always a party. The little ones are given a bucket of greenery at the entrance to feed the roaming goats, ponies and rabbits to their heart's content. Plenty of entertainment among the animals, the vegetable garden and the playground, while we prefer to stroll along the stalls with colorful flowers, fragrant vegetables, fruit, herbs and fresh eggs. Every Thursday you can also buy the tastiest bread on the island, baked in a traditional way. While you're there, be sure to enjoy an ultimate ecological breakfast or lunch at this beautiful finca Can Muson. Think gluten-free banana pancakes, eggplant a la Napolitana, homemade marmalades and sweetly scented smoothies. Of course, all this is only prepared with the freshest ingredients from our own garden.
This alpaca farm & weaving studio, called Es Currals Alpacas, is also a fun place to visit with kids. There is plenty of room for feeding, petting and cuddling. This place is also located Wishfulfilling Weaving, a weaving studio where exclusive scarves are woven with alpaca wool on a traditional wooden loom. In addition to their own designs, you can also go here for a customized design in your chosen favorite wool type, weaving yarn, color, pattern and weaving technique. Es Currals Alpacas is a paradise for everyone.
As far as we are concerned, from now on the fancy clubs are unnecessary, farm life it is!
We have it here once mentioned before, when just hot off the press. This beautifully renovated, amazingly styled old finca full of (vintage) design by the charming Spanish Francesca and her family was available for rent as a holiday home at the time. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case (which we understand, in such a pearl you prefer to stay where you are for all 365 days), but fortunately there is also good news. Francesca is up The Farm has now started her own flower nursery.
At The Floral Studio you can find the most colorful creative bouquets for every occasion. She also regularly organizes a pop-up farm market, where -in addition to products from the The Farm offering unique handmade products to various other local entrepreneurs. Needless to say, all this happened in the ultimate stylish manner, in the dream that she can call her backyard. Enjoy a snack and drink, a beautiful restaurant that can surpass this setting. Accommodation mostly tuned for data.
This most magical place in the middle of the meadows towards Santa Eularia has it all. Which place? Terra Maisa is the name! Around the old white finca with mint green wooden doors and thatched roofs, sheep and chickens roam among the fig and lemon trees. An insect house, the old well, romantic seats of vintage furniture with strings of lights above them in the middle of fields full of colorful flowers... Nope, you can't get more idyllic than that. Besides the fact that with their 56 hectares of land they are the largest farm on the island and all their lovingly prepared products are also for sale here (their famous farmbox can even be delivered to your home). Terra Masia also the ultimate breakfast spot.
You can also go here for relaxing yoga sessions and in the summer special dinners are organized, where you sit at long wooden tables among the wild flowers under the stars.
If you are inspired; Terra Masia offers various workshops and real Ecological Agriculture classes On. You can also come and do volunteer work to learn all the tricks of the farming trade yourself. We don't think there is a nicer place to do this
Have we warmed you up? It is almost impossible to do otherwise with these pearls. Bart loves So Ibiza plenty others (beautiful) spots we have too.
