IZAKAYA: Asian-Peruvian fine dining in the Pijp, Amsterdam
IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar is actually the Japanese version of a tapas bar, but in a refined jacket. The word "Izakaya" literally means a place to sit and drink, and you do that in style here in the Pijp in Amsterdam-Zuid.
If you like refreshing sashimi, fancy gyozas and sushi rolls, this is the place to be. Of course, a good glass is part of that. After all, it is also your Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Exactly the days that the WINE-NO-WINE special can be ordered until the end of the summer (2024).
Want to eat somewhere else in De Pijp? We have a list for that.. Astu!
Inside at IZAKAYA the shiny wine glasses are neatly placed on the table, the central bar in the shop creates a lively atmosphere and in the corner you can see the chefs busy with the dishes. This fine place is located on the ground floor of the Sir Albert Hotel on Albert Cuypstraat. Not directly at the market, but a bit further towards Museumplein. You can easily recognize the building by the striking painted heron on the corner — very cool!
IZAKAYA is located on the corner of the Ruysdaelkade and has a lovely terrace. Here you can enjoy the sun and the boats passing by all afternoon until early evening. From Friday to Sunday you can go here for lunch or fancy Asian bites, while in the evenings it's all about Asian-Peruvian fine dining.

The cocktails are made with the subtle Grey Goose vodka. You can choose from three options: WHITE STAR, ROSE-SHU and RED-CUS, each of which perfectly matches the accompanying bites that IZAKAYA has carefully put together. Not a fan of sweet cocktails? Then you can also find something on the wine list because it is not bad either.
WINE-NO-WINE is until the end of summer (until September 21)
