This is how you decorate the dinner table in a Christmas-proof way

Something about the most wonderful time of the year? It sounds cliché, but it's true. And it's not only the most wonderful time of the year, but also the most pleasant; that December month. We celebrate wildly, eat and drink (lots of it), we light candles, preferably one of these scented candles, the Christmas music is played over and over, the tree is decorated... Well, you know the drill.

 

Every year we want to decorate our entire house to its finest. But not just the house! We want a table that is truly magnificent. The kind you see in movies, on the gram And in magazines. You know, one of those enviable tables with all the trimmings. We'll start with five simple tips for a beautifully set Christmas table, just because we can. Then we'll share some of our favorite brands where you can buy the most beautiful (Christmas) items.

1. We get it, this is tricky. Where on earth do you even begin? As with any party, the following applies here: choose a theme and stick to it. That creates unity, whether your theme is a color, an animal or a inside joke of the family. Color in the most vibrant style possible? That's a theme too! Colors, prints, mixing and matching everything – as long as there's a lot of it. So, the trick is to choose a theme and stick to it.

2. Create a central point The table is always beautiful. For example, in the center of the table, some Christmas branches, greenery, or other attractive accessories of varying heights. Keep your theme in mind! Colors should be in the same shades, with a few eye-catching highlights here and there. Tip: no pots and pans on the table at Christmas! They really do not enhance your table. The kitchen team should simply plate the dishes in the kitchen.

3. Decorate your napkins. A table setting is essential for linens. Absolutely not. It's fun to decorate your napkins with a cord or ribbon (Shop beautiful satin ribbon here) plus a name tag, dried flower, or a sprig in between, and you're done. Simple but so cute. You also have those mini Christmas baubles, you know, you can tie those through your cord too. And hop onto your napkin. 4. Change in levels. What? Yes, go high. This makes your table dynamic! Gosh, that sounds silly... Well, you get the idea. There are several ways to do this, but using candlesticks for your candles is the easiest. Even more fun is a table clamp. You attach it to your table and then hang your beautiful lights and other decorative items from it, from Christmas ornaments to mistletoe. 5. Table setting. It might sound simple, but it turns out to be a funny moment every year. "Where should this spoon go?" "And what about this knife?" "Oh, never mind, just put it down." No, folks, this year we're following the rules. You always work from the outside in: towards the plate and nothing else. Make sure you have nice, matching cutlery; gold colored maybe onceAnd for truly beautiful (wine) glasses: there's nothing more festive than having a glass on the table for each drink (water, champagne, white wine, and red wine).
