Kids to go: kid-proof restaurants that do take away or delivery

Kids to Go was temporarily Kids to Stay, because we simply stayed indoors. Then we were allowed to go outside again for a summer. And then it was blown inside again. But the motto still applies: That's okay, we have plenty of tips for that! This almost automatically resulted in a growing list of restaurants that also do home delivery, everything to keep their heads above water. One for all The Netherlands, one only for (large) Amsterdam and one more for The Hague and surroundings. But we were still missing one especially for the minis. Not anymore, ha! Our favorite, recently tested, take away and delivery meals from the moment, which the offspring can also enjoy.

Oh My Gut

Oh My Gut

Living, working, housework, having fun and also wanting to live a healthy life. Sometimes it all goes together.  And sometimes it's just a little too much. You can then get a not so tasty ready-made meal for home at Appie. Or you are Prepared and you order delicious healthy meals from Oh My Guts. Nationally and sustainably delivered to your home. What a party!

House of Watt, Amsterdam

House of Watt, Amsterdam

Cheers from (Amsterdam) East is the ideal package to give yourself (and your family, of course) as a gift. Because hello, you will receive: wine, beer, limo (!), sausages, nuts, chocolate and whatnot.

Beluga Loves you, Maastricht

Beluga Loves you, Maastricht

A Maastricht favorite, if we might say so, goes under the name Beluga Loves You. Celebration that we can continue to enjoy Beluga's culinary arts. Extra party that even the kids are taken into account at this address. A customized children's menu can be put together especially for smaller children's bellies, which is different every day. It is even a real three-course menu. There is a choice of fish, meat and vegetarian per course and, as icing on the cake, an exciting kids surprise is also included. We want. Or er… 'they'.

The best pastries and the nicest pastry shops in Amsterdam

The best pastries and the nicest pastry shops in Amsterdam

Take a walk with the mini in hand through the city and then pop into one of these pastry shops. Sounds good, right? Those kids are happy when they see all those goodies and you are happy that they are happy. Enjoying a delicious cake or pastry together during a walk is what we mainly do these days. Bartje knows where to go. You can get the best pastries and nicest cakes at these shops and pastry shops.

Hutspot from De 4 Heeren Nijmegen

Hutspot from De 4 Heeren Nijmegen

Hutspot is a favorite during the winter months. This way the kids get vitamins and they like it. Win-win! The 4 Lords in Nijmegen have homemade stew on the menu. Kale with sausage, sauerkraut with sausage or stew with stew. No fuss, just simple, tasty Dutch food. We think it's tasty and the little ones also enjoy it thoroughly.

Den Tol pancakes

Den Tol pancakes

Den Tol is a pancake restaurant with more than just pancakes. They also have salads and other starters at Den Tol. Of course, the main focus here is a richly filled pancake. From plain pancakes (sugar only) and pancakes with different fruit to special pancakes such as a Thai pancake or a satay pancake. Everything is possible at Den Tol! The little stuff is happy and so are we! All pancakes are loved by everyone. There is also a real children's pancake for the little eaters. Slightly smaller. Just enough. Tasty! You can make these delicious pancakes pick up at Den Tol locations. In Velp, Beuningen, Plasmolen or Herpen.

Pastaloeti

Pastaloeti

We're cheating a bit, after all, this is not a restaurant, but a brilliant concept. That's what we're talking about Pastaloeti. All good ideas are simple, including the idea behind them Pastaloeti: Ab and Nina 'celebrate' a pasta evening at home every week with their offspring. Baptized 'Pastalouti' by their eldest descendant Zarah. And what you enjoy doing at home, why not share it with others? Especially now that everyone is just hanging around the house. So Ab and Nina introduced the weekly pasta evening, Pastaloeti, for everyone. On Tuesday we order Pastaloeti.

Outside in the Kuil, Lage Vuursche

Outside in the Kuil, Lage Vuursche

Lage Vuursche may probably be famous... Who hasn't eaten a pancake or played mini golf? But in these times, nature is especially calling. Lage Vuursche is a wonderful walking area that the pros have been able to find for years, but it is also wonderful to stay here for a short tour.

Looking for red mushrooms? They are there! Just look carefully and you will find them. First: Bee Outside in the Pit you get really good coffee. Or a cup of soup, sandwich or a cone with the tastiest fries on the ridge. In our own words, we have to test that ourselves.

Jansz, Amsterdam

Jansz, Amsterdam

With the whole family? To the Pulitzer? No, right? Indeed, because you can also have it delivered to your home! The offspring can choose from a Caesar salad with grilled chicken or an exciting truffle pasta. Everything the good way, Jansz-worthy. In addition, mom and dad simply order everything from the menu that they like and you're done: a successful evening!

The Kaslokaal, Oostkapelle

The Kaslokaal, Oostkapelle

Het Kaslokaal is a great country estate in the greenery of Zeeland and here too the name of the place tells you what you can expect: a great catering location has been created in a round greenhouse. It's really bad luck that we can't sit inside, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. We are more than happy to include their take away menu, because the snacks and drinks are also great! Everything is prepared with a lot of love and you can taste it.

Pacific, Amsterdam

Pacific, Amsterdam

Renovated, renovated and fortunately just as kid-proof: Pacific in Westerpark. A favorite, we dare say. Even now that we can literally no longer sit at the table. Because with the closure of the catering industry, we happily pick up from Pacific's take food truck. For chowder with smoked sausage, for example. Or a Pacific citizen. That is why we like to surf to Pacific's take away menu and go out with the kids to pick up. It's also a nice outing... On Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lunch (12:00 to 16:00 PM), but then we also enjoy a nice dinner (16:00 PM to 20:00 PM).

The blacksmith's garden, Leiden

The blacksmith's garden, Leiden

Oh how we love the Leiden Blacksmith Garden. In addition to cuddling animals and going for a nice walk, there is also a lovely greenhouse, where you can drink coffee, eat cake and even have an extensive lunch. Now all this is available for take out from no less half past ten in the morning to five o'clock in the afternoon. Do we hear the ideal menu for organizing an autumn family picnic? And if you are here around noon (or a little later), treat yourself to the homemade polder fries, tastes like more portions... Apart from the animal fun, there is even more for sale in the take-out hatch, namely beautiful recycled woolen blankets, tea and other stuff for home. So do it! And if you're not convinced yet, save it for later. In healthy global times it is also possible to rent the location for a party, fun among the horses and sheep.

Wild West, Amsterdam

Wild West, Amsterdam

In the evening you had to go to Bos en Lommer for the burgers and the beers or the pizzas and the cocktails. During the day you can go here - with a stroller or lift - for a latte and a croissant. It is highly recommended! We've known that for years. And today too, now that we no longer physically visit the Wild West, we do so mentally with every bite we take of the take away pizzas. Extra nice, the pizzas are ten euros each. All! Those aren't prizes.

Wild West

Are you looking for nature + take-out coffee (we mean: getting some fresh air and keeping your hands warm at the same time with a take-away coffee/tea/hot chocolate)? We have a list of places which exactly meets that wish.

The Gilded Unicorn

The Gilded Unicorn

A popular place in Amsterdam East for several years now, The Gilded Unicorn. Hats off to the guys who do everything they can (#supportthehoreca) and now also do delivery. We really enjoy ordering from there. A little too much. Perhaps a bit too culinary for the kids, but they are happy to eat a few bites. Then they can enjoy one themselves NaturNes Bio meal jar and occasionally one plant-based dessert. Family date night for the win!

Fifth NRE, Eindhoven

Fifth NRE, Eindhoven

The former Philips factories, you know, Strijp S and Strijp R, have faced competition from it NRE site, one of the oldest places in the Brabant City of Light where nothing actually happened until recently. The cycling cafe opened there earlier Cyclist and now is also the long-awaited thing FIFTH NO a fact. In a large, bright warehouse you can go to the drive thru all day long (the kids love it) for lunch, dinner or just a drink to pick up. Everything is on the menu, there is even a designated section of kids' dishes on the menu.

Trattoria Mangiare, Eindhoven

Trattoria Mangiare, Eindhoven

The Kleine Berg is the coziest (shopping) street in the city, the prettiest street in the city and the place (together with the Grote Berg) where you will find the nicest food and drink shops. Like Trattoria Mangiare Eindhoven. A Trattoria indeed – after all, they all like pizza and pasta. But the best part of the story is that you can still have it all delivered to your front door. Feets (because the wines are also delivered)

Pavilion Posbank, Rheden

Pavilion Posbank, Rheden

Pavilion de Posbank, without 't', is an indispensable pit stop for lunch or a drink during a walk through the area, and has been so since 2002. Back then you could still go inside for a nice snack. Now we'll just make do with the Pavilion's to-go option. But that's no problem.
