These are the nicest Tiny Houses in the Netherlands
It's quite a trend term: the Tiny Houses. And while we are doing it basically 'just' about having a small house, right? Yes.... We said with doubt, because also a bit no. The Tiny Houses that are the subject of discussion are small, compact, luxurious (!) holiday homes that are often surrounded by greenery and where you can have a wonderful time with a small family. Standard? Yes, standard. Call it the superlative of camping. You understand: we love these Tiny Houses.
But... There are so many! Where do we start? Well, with the list below of course! These are our favorite Tiny (holiday) Houses in the Netherlands. And, there are a few that are not well known at all which means more availability.
With a view of the water and in a quiet environment, you will be in the right place in this nature house in Amsterdam. Quiet in Amsterdam? Okay, a bit of nuance: the monumental bridge keeper's house can be found in Amsterdam-Noord. Close to the city, check! Efficient layout, check! Equipped with everything, check! And very nice: you can check in online and open the door with your phone. This way you can go your own way. Love it!
Just behind the dunes of Ouddorp aan Zee you will find holiday park De Klepperstee. This green holiday park has many (nice) houses, but for convenience we chose a holiday home Wrap out. This tiny house is made from recycled cardboard, super durable. The house has enough space for four people and has a cozy kitchen/diner, nice bathroom and two bedrooms.
We don't have to be far from home (read: Mokum) to find ourselves in a soothing, natural environment. At this nature house about 15 km from Amsterdam, somewhere in the Zuidoostbeemster, you look out over the meadows with sheep. The house is detached, has a nice modern design and has everything you need: a kitchenette, dining table, lounge sofa and lovely double bed.
A luxurious boutique hotel vibe, but all for you alone? That is Coco's Country House at Bospark de Vossenberg in Nunspeet. In nature, near the Veluwemeer and the Zandenplas, you can recharge in this beautiful and colorful tiny house. Surrounded by forests and outside, but with a modern and colour-explosive interior, this is the right combination of nature and design. You have a view of the garden from almost every corner and your own terrace where you can barbecue to your heart's content, have a drink at the large garden table, spot squirrels in the squirrel hotel (yes, there really is one too) or simply read a book in the hammock.
Cozy Hanseatic cities such as Elburg and Harderwijk are also very close. You can park in front of the door, but Coco's Buitenhuisje is also easily accessible by public transport. There is also plenty to do at the Bospark itself: a game of table tennis, an afternoon of pétanque? Would you rather go karting or hit a ball on the tennis court? You can easily walk there in your flip-flops.
We'll be upfront: Friesland is a favorite. Perhaps because of the love for stunning vistas and the fresh, green surroundings. That being said, we introduce you to a gem in the far north: Atelier Gaasterland. If you want to go, you must go, everything. Atelier Gaasterland in Oudemirdum is a haven of peace. deluxe. Away from everything, but not back to basicsIn fact, the interior design of the residence exudes so much color that you'll spontaneously want to redecorate your home. Arrive at Atelier Gaasterland and unwind.
The name says it all: Special and Outside. A caravan for two people on the Het Hoge Meinen estate. Where? Between Winterswijk and Lichtenvoorde, in the east of the country. The estate is the home base for the Hijink family's farming business.
A very nice place to stay for anyone who likes peace, space and relaxation. A warm apple pie will be waiting for you upon arrival, nom! The gypsy wagon includes a separate bathhouse and a wonderful hot tub. Can you already see yourself sitting in a bubble bath with a beautiful view over the meadows?
Sleep in one Tree House, well, not just any one. It hangs three meters above the ground, so it is also suitable for people with a fear of heights. It is a large tree house with luxurious facilities and for the kids a slide down from the terrace of your own tree house (we secretly still like slides, so we won't judge (If you happen to slide down yourself). Cozy loft beds (not very high, mind you) for the little ones and a double bed with a beautiful view. The Tree House is located on the Landal grounds, where there's plenty to do for all ages.
What a picture, this house. Four of you can sleep there thanks to the ingenious extension (as long as you really like each other, because tiny There are no doors in the bedrooms). Cute stairs lead you to the bedrooms and then you can immediately see the entire house in full flight. It has everything: a kitchen, bathroom, pallet stove and even a jacuzzi (all of it, of course). You are wonderfully cozy inside, but we are actually in love with the outside. In the middle of nature, next to the jacuzzi and at the picnic table, it is really impossible not to enjoy yourself.
We'll take out the gypsy wagon to explain, but all the tiny houses at De Vriendschap are truly fantastic. All accommodations (and there are quite a few) are suitable for two people (except for the Lander Uno) and are beautifully spaced out in this stunning location on the Veluwe, near Ermelo to be precise.
Within walking and cycling distance, you're in the small town center, or you can pick a bouquet of flowers at the flower garden. You'll have a great time here.
One of the most tasteful addresses in Zeeland? That must be stylist Annette's business. In her House of Roozes she collects unique, antique finds that she refurbishes and sells. Even more fun is that you can now also stay with Annette and her Roozes: there is a cozy Gypsy wagon in the garden, of course photogenically styled by Annette. Everything clever and everything beautiful and everything but the image of the Pipowagen that you probably (we understand) have in mind. From April to the end of September (and perhaps even in October if the weather is nice) fingers crossed), French romance is there. In the car that makes us long for a mini-break to the most un-Dutch few square meters of Zeeland.
We may say it often, that's true, but you're only as good as your last match, right? Well: The Buitenhuys family, the small guest house in the vicinity of the North Holland Hoorn, plays a game of premier league that you can't beat. We actually mean it when we say that after a weekend in the Tiny House of Buitenhuys family I have rarely seen a nicer house. It is unique in its kind, and we will tell you why in detail.
Oh how we wish we lived in nature. Wake up to the carefree sound of the wind through the trees. The birds that whistle. And play outside without bumping into people. Tiny Hotel is located on an eight-hectare organic estate, surrounded by forest getaway for, well, any moment really. The beautiful Tiny Hotel has three bedrooms, six sleeping places and there is plenty to do in and around the house. A few nights of sleep in a wooden house - with animals - in Dutch nature could be a very nice relief after a few weeks of staying in and around your house.
This Tiny gift is located on the Veluwe, near Nunspeet. Not only can you step straight into the forest outside, but inside it is also a great nature feast through the large windows. NOYR just opened a year ago and we want to go!
A raised bed in a large window, which of course provides a picture-perfect view. NOYR has a unique, asymmetrical design and is fully equipped. You will find a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Even in winter, NOYR keeps you well insulated and nice and warm.
Leave the city behind and move to a beautiful old farm surrounded by nature and open a B&B with animals roaming around in the garden. More people dream of that. You can spend a few nights in such a dream with the sweetheart The Dutch Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast thirty minutes from Utrecht and Amsterdam. A place to revive your dream.
Veluwe again, but close to the Zandenpland. There you will find MORI Tiny House. A very relaxed atmosphere with an eye for detail. It might secretly be because of the outdoor shower, fireplace and plunge pool. But for a truly relaxed feeling you can include the atmosphere of the cozy house and the surroundings. MORI Tiny House is located in the middle of the Veluwe near the Zandenplas. It is the ideal place from here to go to the sauna, walk or cycle for a day.
Undra, Swedish for wonder. With that sense of wonder, everything will be fine in this house on the Veluwe. From it queen size bed under the skylight (where you don't hit your head when you sit up) you can look straight into the sky. Spotting shooting stars it is. Not only the name, but also the design is Scandinavian. Nice and light, lots of wood and surprisingly spacious. For one tiny house then ;).
