Yoohoo, on the Warmoestraat in Amsterdam you will find Fiona Amsterdam! Mexico's most famous female chef Zahie Téllez (we didn't know her either, don't worry, but we're told she's a 'thing' in her own country) is the inspiration for the menu of the Mexican restaurant Fiona Amsterdam. Personally, we love the Mexican kitchen (delicious and affordable - everyone's friend if you ask us). Let's go restaurant Fiona.
Zahie is internationally known for her own television shows, among others Discovery and several collaborations with the television program MasterChef and none other than the American chef, restaurateur and television celebrity, Michael Symon. India, Canada, Italy, Colombia and America have already been introduced to Zahie and her cooking skills and soon it will be Amsterdam's turn!
With all this Mexican inspiration you have to Fiona Amsterdam, in collaboration with Younique Concepts, is the place for Mexican cuisine in the bustling Warmoesstraat. It is cozy and cozy and the dishes lend themselves to picking up and moving on (and making room for the next one). Not that that is necessarily a good idea: playing the whole card is certainly a good idea. Tacos, ceviche, more than tender spare ribs, spicy pulpo and various sides, everything with a fantastic, explosive flavour. In addition to the flavors, Fiona's atmosphere and looks are also delicious. And we definitely recommend a boozy evening, because the drinks are delicious!
