A wooden cabin with veranda and outdoor pool overlooking a Scottish valley and the sea. That's all we need for a weekend of recovery. Mount Freedom is located in the coastal town of Dunure near Ayr – about an hour from Glasgow – and has three forest cottages for two people. The bed is at the top of the cabin and accessible by a steep ladder. Inside you can sit cozy by the stove and outside there is a large fireplace. Rocking chairs, blanket, wine or tea and a nice book or good conversation. You get the vibe. In the area you can walk in nature and along the coast, visit some small villages, a castle and eat at the pub. Get you wellies – and perhaps your surfboard – but in for one relaxing for a few days in the Scottish nature.
