Getaway to the mountains: Nancy's Holiday Homes in Rasen-Antholz, South Tyrol, Italy
Nancy's Holiday Homes in Antholz Mittertal/Anterselva Mezzo (South Tyrol, Italy) is not only the perfect base (in the middle of the Antholz-Rasen area) but also a more than beautiful place to spend your holiday. There are different types of accommodation: Canadian wooden houses (really from Canada!), snazzy apartments in the green hotel, traditional Alpine chalets and more modern cabins (although cabin is not the right word here; more of a loft vibe, but as part of the hill on one side and a glass facade on the other side, which means where you sit comfortably and have a view of nature). All guests can also use the Romanesque swimming pool, the cocktail bar and Nancy will pour you a delicious cappuccino at almost any time of the day.
Tips for fun and active things to do in the area can be found here.
As we said: with Nancy you are in the right place. In the accommodations themselves, certainly (more about that below), but also because of the location in Rasen-Antholz. Patsboem in the middle of the valley, and therefore actually close to everything. You can start various walks from the site, or you can easily reach the Antholzersee/Lago di Anterselva, Toblacher See. It is also located on a (paved) cycle route, making it easy to explore the Pustertal. Cozy villages such as Niederdorf, Olang and Toblach are also a somersault (okay, max 20 minute drive) away. Ten minutes away you will also find the lifts that take you to Kronplatz: in the summer for a hike, in the winter for a good game of skiing.
Truly the perfect place for outdoorsy people who want to be active during the day, but do not want to compromise on luxury and beauty.
There are four different types of houses/apartments at Nancy, so there is certainly something to suit everyone. In the green hotel you will find various flats for two to six people, perfect for the family or a group of friends. They come with a bedroom (or two), bathroom, kitchen, living room and even a balcony. Well done, by the way: the green hotel is quite modern, but still fits completely into the landscape. The fact that it is painted completely green probably has something to do with that, but still. The interior is also slightly different than you would expect from a mountain hotel. It is more modern, with contemporary furniture in the bar and beautiful tiles on the floor.
People who are more traditional wired would do well to Canadian chalets to book. Nancy's father is a Canada fan, which is why three were brought over (yes, really from Canada) and are now with Nancy in South Tyrol, Italy. From two to six people, all the trimmings, including a sunny terrace and fireplace for the winter months.
The third flavor is the chic chalets in the middle of Nancy's little piece of the valley. Truly an alpine look, in a contemporary way. You can stay here for two or four people (and of course you also have a kitchen, living room and private terrace.
The latest editions (July 2023) are the modern chalets on the sides of the park (it's not really a park, but for lack of a better word) and you have the most privacy and extras here. An infrared seat in the bathroom for example, for after hiking and skiing. In the garden (two chalets are by the way on the small stream that runs past Nancy's) you have a jacuzzi and a modern fireplace. Inside you have a lovely big bed, a whopper of a bathroom (with a window to the bedroom, that took some getting used to), a kitchen and a small dining area. In the morning breakfast is put in the hallway and you can call when you are ready for your freshly brewed cup of coffee.
Going the extra mile we almost think it's an understatement. Everything has been thought of: your breakfast is delivered to your door (or even in the hall), you can call when you are ready for a cup of coffee, it is also delivered to your door. They even have fondue service, and then you really get 100 points. There is another swimming pool, one trust bar (so you can always grab something to drink and just pay honestly), a sauna, fitness and yoga room. If you miss something (almost unimaginable), Nancy is there for you with other questions and requests.
Highly recommended for all seasons.
