The pop-up Oliebollenbakkerij of Bakkerszonen Hartog en Meijer is the place to be today, Friday 16 December. It's oliebollen season and that is being tackled thoroughly in Amsterdam East: the bakers' sons were able to rent a building on the Beukenplein by chance and set up an end-of-year oliebollen pop-up there. And that means fresh oliebollen and apple beignets every day. Ha! You can get your New Year's Eve snack here until 31 December. After that, the fun is certainly not over: from January you can go to the same address for Dutch bread, sourdough bread, pastries, sandwiches and good coffee. Again: ha! The Bakers' Sons
