Recycle Kid, Amsterdam

New in Amsterdam, or actually; almost new: Reclyclekid. They won't open until February 12, 2016, there on the increasingly nice Van der Pekstraat in Amsterdam North (cross the bridge behind the Central Station and then just keep going straight). The idea is not new, but that does not make it any less good: a store full of second-hand stuff for kids, from toys to clothing, but with a little bit more. Reclyclekid will recycle the items and if we understand it correctly, this not only means that everything is properly steam-cleaned (and so on), but that something new is actually made from the items. We'll see after the 12th whether that is the case, but first they have to get those things in of course. You can help them, and that will yield something too. How do you read on the site, but the core question is actually very simple: would you still buy it yourself? If not: put it in the trash. If so: on to the Van der Pekstraat. Recyclekid
