Sublime Hotel Comporta Portugal

We have often praised Portuguese here on this site Comporta aka 'the new Ibiza' on the Atlantic coast, although we don't want to shout that too loudly because Comporta would like, very much, to remain the relaxed place that it is. With the most beautiful places to stay. Like this one: it Sublime Hotel. Splendor and then some.

Think in the style of the equally fantastic Casa Cook Kos (be sure to read that report), but in Portugal instead of on a Greek island, the most important difference actually. Furthermore, both hotels are especially beautiful and beautiful, and are your most relaxing option for doing nothing at all. That nothing that you don't have to leave the place for. Also in the case of the Sublime Hotel you can walk from your (super luxurious) property to the white private beach in front of the door for a morning swim and then join the extensive breakfast buffet. Then a few hours in the spa with small pool in front of the door if you don't want sand and in the evening you dine like a star under the stars.

To then crawl into your handsome basket and repeat everything again the next day - that's it. You stay in a room in the mainhouse, from 185 euros per room per night in the low season (winter) the cheapest option. There are different room types, from simple (which at Sublime Comporta is absolutely beautiful and luxurious) to an amazing villa with two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, underfloor heating, a private pool and plenty of outdoor spaces to retreat to. There are 23 bedrooms and suites including 'cabanas' for 2, 3 or 5 people. In high season, room prices for two people can rise to around 500 euros per room per night.

You will find Sublime Hotel Comporta in the middle of no less than 17 hectares of private land, surrounded by pine trees, sand dunes, rice fields (yes, in Portugal yes) and 60 kilometers of pristine white sandy beaches. Unspoiled & magical they call it themselves and to be honest, that comes pretty close to the truth.

Lisbon is an hour's drive away (that's nothing!), although civilization seems light years away after checking in. The villages in the area are lazy to say the least and coutdoors – exactly how a holiday village should be. Moreover, best of all, Comporta has a rich one food and wine culture that Sublime Comporta embraces: in the kitchen of the resort only local delicacies, in all their simplicity and that is oh so delicious.

Don't wait any longer to book! In the summer of 2018, the resort added a beach club. Who also (cannot be otherwise) has become beautiful, and good from eating and drinking. Which, of course, as we speak, makes you realize that at that time you can also 'just' pop in for a snack and a drink and a snoozesession on the beach, without overnight stay. Just the pleasures for a day, not all the 'burdens' in the financial sense of the word.

Can you go there with children? Possible, provided they are properly raised. After all, other people don't pay the top price to listen to your kids scream. At the Sublime Hotel you come for your rest, and you pay for that. So you know.
