Slainte! Hotel The Hoxton in Dublin, Ireland

You could call us a repetitive record, but let's be honest: a new Hoxton makes us happy every time. And here it is. The youngest member of the family. In late 2025, they opened The Hoxton Dublin its doors, and with that, the beloved hotel chain landed on Irish soil for the first time. And they didn't just do it anywhere. The Hoxton Dublin is located on Exchequer Street, right in the city center and right amidst everything that makes a weekend in Dublin fun: good coffee, great shops, vintage stores, and more pubs than you can tick off in a few days.

Inside, The Hoxton does exactly what The Hoxton does best. Lots of wood, rich fabrics, art on the walls, beautiful lamps, and cozy nooks. The clever thing about The Hoxton is that it never feels like a hotel. More like you are a guest in the home of that one friend who understands interior design just a little too well. And then there is the team. Somehow, The Hoxton manages to find people everywhere who are both incredibly nice and effortlessly cool.

At The Hoxton, there is a constant coming and going of locals and guests. Both in the lobby and in the Library Bar, which is alive all day long. From early morning until late at night, there is always something going on here. Laptop open, coffee in hand. Laptop closed, pint with it.

After that, you won't need to go anywhere else for food. In fact, be sure to reserve a table at Cantina Valentina, the Peruvian restaurant at The Hoxton. To be honest, we hadn't immediately expected that in an Irish hotel, but that is exactly what makes it so nice.

 

First, the Tequeños: crispy rolls filled with cheese and jalapeño. Delicious. Then followed the Barbecue. In case, like us, you don't immediately know what those are: skewers. In our case, chicken. And let Cantina Valentina that is exactly what they happen to be particularly good at. That was confirmed once again by the grilled chicken: half a grilled free-range chicken that was very juicy. Fortunately, there are also plenty of vegetarian options for those who prefer to explore the vegetable side of the menu.

And then there was the wine: Peruvian wine. We drank a Chardonnay from Intipalka in the Ica Valley. Full and round, as a Chardonnay should be, but with a fresh hint that pairs perfectly with the, sometimes spicy, flavors from the kitchen. Once again, a discovery we probably never would have made without The Hoxton.

For a quick coffee, a sandwich, or a glass of wine, pull up a chair at dollarsA deli-style wine bar where espressos, pastries, and generously filled sandwiches are served during the day, and charcuterie, toasted sandwiches, and natural wine take center stage in the evening.

The Hoxton signature is unmistakable upstairs as well. The rooms are compact but cleverly designed. The bed is soft, the atmosphere warm. Admittedly, our attention was drawn immediately to the bathroom. The Hoxton and tiling remain a winning combination. This time in light blue-green, combined with marble, a French washbasin, and the familiar Hoxton x Clear body wash in the scent WoodA quick shower is really out of the question.

To sum it up: The Hoxton Dublin proves once again why we have such a soft spot for the chain.
