It's our weekend too! A playground with a nice restaurant in the middle of nature is Het Uilenbos in Lunteren (Gelderland)
Letting the kids run wild, a regular feature of the weekend. Because sitting inside all day doesn't make anyone happy - and certainly not a bunch of busy toddlers. We prefer to settle down in a place that is fun for both children and parents, because let's be clear: it is also our weekend. So it's nice that places like Het Uilenbos in Lunteren exist. Het Uilenbos is a cozy restaurant in the middle of the forests of Lunteren (De Veluwe) and the perfect base for after a wonderful walk through nature. But also very suitable for sitting directly on the terrace without taking a walk.

The Uilenbos is originally a pancake house that has been around for seventy years and that is just as amazing as it sounds. The site was completely renovated during the past lockdown and is a dream for every child. On the fully fenced site (nice and safe) you will find a giant indoor and outdoor playground. With playhouses for the little ones, a car track for the toddlers and a cable car for the little ones.
At the back of the site you will find a petting zoo with goats, rabbits and pigs who all love to be cuddled.
Relax outside on the picnic benches, which are very clearly and conveniently located directly opposite the playground. On a rainy day you can sit inside the cozy restaurant. You only see the kids when the pancakes are served. When the bellies are full and the kids are back on the playground equipment, it's time for you. The lunch and dinner menu includes good dishes such as an oriental salad or chicken thigh satay. A nice bonus is the drinks menu and let's not forget that wine (which is also good, nice).
At Het Uilenbos Lunteren you come for coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner. Would you like to reserve a spot in the restaurant or on the spacious terrace? Then your kids can let loose on the grounds for two hours. Would you rather play alone and have drinks somewhere else? Then you pay €7,50 per person for children aged four and over. In short, the weekend spot for a Sunday afternoon, you're welcome.
From November 1 to March 1, open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and during all school holidays from 10.00 a.m. to 20.00 p.m.
