The snacks from BitesWeLove are based on nuts, peas and beans (you won't feel or taste anything!). Only plant-based and natural ingredients, with less sugar, salt and fat. These crunchy bites are a good addition to the snack board, but also ready-made for a quick snack. In the office, the Crunchy Corn Sweet Chili are standard in the cupboard, and the Crunchy Peas Dark Chocolate are next to it. For yogurt or if you have a takeaway.
At Snacks with Benefits they make everything from leftover vegetables from Dutch farmers. Cauliflower that is too small to be sold in the supermarket, for example, but which is otherwise nothing wrong with it. They then make crispy cauliflower florets: well seasoned and with a nice bite. Or the Funky Funghi are juicy oyster mushrooms with a crunch of chips (otherwise those chips would have been thrown away). If you have an oven, deep fryer or air fryer, these snacks are on the table within fifteen minutes and you will always find sauce tips on the packaging. Really good ones plant based snacks made from vegetables up close without necessarily being an alternative, because they actually belong on every snack board.

Garden Gourmet has a range of products, but we want to talk about the sausage. The bratwurst that is. And the chorizo. Because the Dutch vegetarian sausage landscape is still a bit behind. Not much choice, and what is there is a bit meh. Not these friends. The chorizo is well seasoned and has a fine smoked flavor and the bratwurst is your friend with stew, on a hot dog or in pieces with curry and paprika powder on the snack board á la the German CUrrywurst style.
Garden Gourmet can be found everywhere, but the chorizo and bratwurst often only seem to be available in the slightly larger supermarkets.
Every full-fledged snack board should have a bitterbal, right? Grandma Bob's are great, but still Next Level we like the bitterballen (and croquettes). Kas & Cas. Two friends who, in their own way, are looking for the best bitterbal made from wild mushrooms with maximum taste and minimal food footprint. Crispy crust, a very rich taste and secretly tastier than the regular bitterbal. They don't do this search for the best bitterbal alone: every now and then they organize a Ballenborrel (you can register for that) and then you can taste, toast and give feedback.

Vegan cheese. Yes, of all the plant-based alternatives, this is perhaps the most difficult and the least tasty (often). Until you come across a good one. It will never be real cheese, but this is certainly one of the better alternatives. Max & Bien so, thank you. By applying ancient techniques to nuts, oats and rice, they create cheese and dairy alternatives. A delicious block of cheese for drinks with a similar structure to regular cheese, certainly a touch of umami and also multiple flavors. It also melts nicely on toast.

Yes, falafel on the snack board. Probably the first vegetarian snack you think of, but that certainly doesn't make it any less tasty. Just loosen it for dipping, make a mini pita, press it a little for a veggie slider: you can do anything with it. The falafel from Mace is available everywhere, not so dry (especially when you dip it in the sauce), medium spicy, and therefore a good snack.
