work.club: work where it suits you in Amsterdam (and more)
One day you want to power through and make significant progress, the next day you have three appointments, a meeting and drinks on the schedule. But all of that from the same office, the same co-working space, or that usual café yet again? That isn't always very practical, and certainly not very exciting. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be. work.club has seven different workplaces in Amsterdam (and locations in Utrecht, Arnhem, and Rotterdam), all with their own look and feel. Oh, and all in beautiful repurposed locations (also not unimportant). With one membership You have access to the entire network, so you choose where you want to work every day. Today in the Zuidas, tomorrow in Amsterdam-West, and next week suddenly in Rotterdam. Bring your laptop, grab a coffee, and get to work. Ideal. And we wouldn't be Team Barts Boekje if we didn't immediately look for the best spots for after work as well. You're welcome.
Which tasks and skills are truly crucial to success in this role and which baggage you can eliminate. work.club No matter where you step inside, the basics are of the same high standard everywhere. Think of fast Wi-Fi, meeting rooms for consultations (for an extra fee), phone booths (at almost every location) not meant for everyone's ears, event spaces, and of course that all-important coffee bar. Also on hospitality No shortage. You open your laptop and can get to work. And then there are the extras, which vary by location. One place has a rooftop or a terrace, the other a vinyl bar or even a boat (yes, really). That way, you can choose the spot that suits you best at the moment, or the spot that gets you getting started with a huge amount of enthusiasm (or both, of course).
work.club also offers flexible office spaces for teams of four to twenty people. The meeting rooms be shared with various tenants and members and can be booked via the internal platform. This ensures that the available square meters are used efficiently and sustainably. You get access to work.club with a wallet pass on your phone. This applies to both members and tenants of the office spaces. Would you rather go for the day pass to try it out first? Be warned, a membership follows quickly then, wink.
In Amsterdam-Zuid, you have plenty of choice. Club Strozzi is located in the Zuidas and combines sleek workspaces with lounge areas, a coffee bar and business club. So, just a little different from the classic office setting. And once you can close your laptop, pull up a chair at Strandzuid. It is lovely to spend time by the water here.
Club Steel you will find it on Rijnsburgstraat, by the water. As a result, the location immediately has its own atmosphere and, in addition to the work and meeting spaces and bike charging also a lunchroom and evening restaurant. If you then want to explore the neighborhood, Bar Staal by Vooges, Stadscafé Van Mechelen, and Bar Bonnie are good places to keep in mind. Bar Staal is located in the same building, and here you get a 10% discount on hot drinks with a membership during working hours (09:00 – 17:00).
Also Rembrandt Park One It is located in this corner of the city, right by Rembrandt Park. A nice little extra: here you will find a bike charging, a fitness room, and an evening restaurant (with a Michelin star!). Work first, get some exercise in between, and then have a drink (and a bite)? You can do all of that at Rembrandt Park One itself (highly recommended), or pull up a chair in the evening at Bar Kosta or Gent aan de Schinkel. These top spots are also located nearby.
RKM Offices It is located on Sarphatistraat in a very handsome monumental building. That is immediately the first plus point of this location: working in a building with history instead of a hastily constructed office building. As a result, the location has just a bit more character. Furthermore, there is a catering option, a business club, lunch room and much more. After work, you can also stop by De Groene Olifant, Louie Louie, Café Kuijper, Brouwerij 't IJ, or Mooie Boules. The choice is vast.
Cityside It is located on Trompenburgstraat, right on the Amstel. It is lovely both inside, with its delightful upcycled furniture, and outside. The terrace, in particular, makes all the difference here. It is perfect if you want to step outside for a moment between work or if there is something to celebrate. Events are also regularly organized here. As soon as you are finished, De Nada – Music Wine & Food Bar, Café Vrijdag, Hesp, Café de Amstel, and Rijnbar are on the list. We can't choose for ourselves.
Berghaus is located close to Amsterdam Lelylaan station and, in addition to the workspaces, also has, among other things bike charging, an gym and shops in the building. The building itself is actually a sort of mini-city, we would say. Handy if your workday doesn't have to consist solely of sitting behind your laptop. And after that? Bar Restaurant Lely and Lokaal van de Stad are just around the corner.
is completely different Zandkasteel in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. The monumental building is quite a sight and, in addition to the workspaces, features gardens, places to eat and drink, and its own cinema room. You don't see that every day (or actually never) at an office. For drinks, you can head over to Oma Ietje or Café Pigalle.
There are also great work.club locations in Utrecht. DS51 It is located on the Daalsesingel, within walking distance of the city center. And once in Utrecht, you simply must take a moment to enjoy this beautiful city. You can go to Belgisch Biercafé Olivier Utrecht for a good Belgian beer. Prefer to really head into the city? From here, you can cycle to the Neude in about ten minutes, where there are plenty of places to enjoy a few drinks.
MP01 It is located at Moreelsepark, right next to Utrecht Central Station. So, a convenient location if you travel by train regularly. Union House Jacob's Wine & Gastrobar and Paloma – Restaurant & Tapascafé are located in the vicinity. Two totally different options, but both fantastic. It just depends on what you're in the mood for after a long (or perhaps short, that's possible too) workday.
In Rotterdam you have to at W70 We pointed out the location on Weena, right in the city center and reasonably close to Rotterdam Central. The location is situated on one of the city's most famous office streets, making it a great base for a workday in Rotterdam. And that is without even mentioning the wonderful fitness room (and yes, there are showers too) and beautiful sky bar which you get thrown in for good measure. After work, the choice of places is at least as good: head to Biergarten for a drink, to Mooie Boules Rotterdam for food and drinks, or simply across the street to (At) Weena.
