Team Barts Boekje's Favorites during ADE

It's that time of year again! All of Amsterdam is in the mood for ADE, and you know what that means: parties, music, and going until the wee hours (or early - whatever you prefer). We from Team Barts Boekje will of course be there and are happy to share our ultimate ADE favorites. Whether you're going for that underground rave, that one special location, or a boozy brunch, or to an inspiring lecture during the day. We tell you our favorites, and that we think you should not miss. Let's dance!

Sorry not sorry, but no real ADE planning here this year. I'm sure I'll join somewhere, but nothing is set in stone. There are enough parties and I'll definitely go through this article again in due time.

By the way, I think it's a nice initiative for tea lovers Café Wu. In association with LATEEF, a new tea label, Marc Meijer and Tom Trago will host a five-course dinner. And each course will be accompanied by a type of tea. Totally hip and hot. While your feet tap along to downtempo listening records, you can enjoy tea and dinner. Maybe I'll see you there? Then you'll have to make a reservation here.

I'm starting my ADE a little differently this year than usual, with a big portion zen meets techno. At YOTCHA At DB55, I'm contorting myself into yoga poses while deep techno beats are pounding from the speakers. What exactly does it entail? No idea, but I've signed up, so we're going to experience it. After all that inner awakening, I'm shifting my energy to something more stylish: the Conservatory HotelDuring ADE, it turns into a sort of chic mini-club with the Taiko Bar Takeovers, delicious cocktails, and music. And on Saturday? Then everything can go wild again at DGTL.

Eat, sleep, rave, repeat. No, I'm just joking. Although I really do like a party, I'm going to take it a bit easier this year during ADE. This year I'm saving my dancing shoes for the tail end of the 5-day festival and I'll only put them on on Sunday. No church for me that morning, but The Breakfast Club in RadionAnd it's called The Breakfast Club for a reason: for those who enjoy it, a full breakfast is ready at 08:00 AM, after which you can wander through the housey corridors and halls of Radion with a full stomach. And we're going on! If your legs still have energy left, Club Room – a queer club near Sloterdijk, where house and techno are on the menu – also planned for later that evening. Party, party people!

I like a bit of balance during ADE, preferring small and good to big and crazy. No gigantic halls with strobe attacks for me. That's why I'm starting this year at the ARTIS Planetarium, at the ADE x 750 Opening Concert by Julius Horsthuis and Suzanne Ciani. One hour under a digital starry sky, with visuals and analog synths, wonderfully dreamy, calm, and exactly what I need before the madness breaks out.

I'll be joining you on Friday 100% Vinyl Disco with KirollusNo USB drives or laptops, just real vinyl. The perfect evening for someone who prefers listening to banging.

Looking for an anti-hangover breakfast? We have a nice list for you. And even if you don't have a hangover, this list is a nice way to spend the day if you still want to experience some of that ADE atmosphere.

I'm kicking off my ADE this year in a more sporty way than ever before P.ADE.LNo DJ set, but a game of paddle tennis between the DJs on Wednesday. A great combination: a bit of music and a bit of competition.

Later in the week I will join you Josh Baker pres. You&Me x Loveland At the theater, a super cool venue. I'll dance to some good house music with some great people. Otherwise, I'll take it easy. Maybe check out some art. No full schedule, just a nice, relaxed ADE.

I didn't really have any plans yet, I thought. A bit of rest, a bit of seeing what happens. But well, blood is thicker than water. So yes, I finally got tickets for Black Coffee at the Ziggo Dome on Friday. That man, that sound… mesmerizing! And who knows, if the energy is still flowing, I might even catch another one after that Sea salt of Home port Menesix I'm with you. During the day, I take it easy: I'll look at some art or grab a coffee. My ADE is a mix and match of relaxation and rave, all mixed together.

I'm a true ADE fan, every year I'm there. Last year and the year before that I went Into the woods been, so this remains a favorite. This year I was way too late with ticket sales, so that means fewer parties available. Still, I managed to get tickets this year for No Art, with one of my favorite DJs: Rossi.

Also trying to arrange tickets for both The Loft as DGTL, but unfortunately almost sold out, which was to be expected with all the big names playing at these festivals. Next year's the chance.
