From Bar Gui to Bistro de Fles: a new bistro on the Prinsengracht
A good bistro is not always easy to find. You will recognize it more quickly if you pay attention to the following: fine products, delicious sauces to dip bread into, and a wine list you can comfortably browse through. At Bistro de Fles Things are certainly well taken care of on Amsterdam's Prinsengracht. Chef Guillaume de Beer and restaurant partner Panos Tsoliaridis are breathing new life into a well-known hospitality spot with a bistro where French cuisine (naturally) forms the basis and the menu changes every month. Expect familiar dishes, classic cooking techniques, and, of course, the occasional personal twist from Chef Guillaume de Beer. And a French bistro without good wine? That would be a shame. Especially with a name that raises so many expectations—wink. Panos Tsoliaridis naturally takes care of the wine list, featuring a selection of European wines alongside the French dishes. Add to that a basement with a healthy dose of Amsterdam coziness and a terrace overlooking the canal, and you’ll understand why you really should pay a visit soon. Enjoy your meal.
