Are you coming on? Amsterdam Central Station, you can see how beautiful it is becoming (for a CS of course) - wide, spacious, nice shops and even nicer places to eat (soon an overview of our favorites because really, you no longer have to leave the station to enjoy fancy food ). Be sure to visit the walking and cycling tunnel: the blue-white tiles are a gift for your Insta feed. There, at the end of the tunnel (or the beginning - at least on the side of the IJ), a new and quite brilliant concept opened up: Amsterdam Central Doctor & Pharmacy. A luxurious one-stop health store, as they say. Brilliant for a number of reasons: there is an on-site doctor and yes, that is really handy because although you prefer to avoid those doctors, you can only just need one, in the heart of Amsterdam. Tada. Here it is: Doctor Eric Cambridge, who has been working as a general practitioner in Amsterdam for years. Doctor Eric is there for local residents and tourists, but commuters can also schedule a necessary doctor visit, in addition to their regular doctor. Handy. And you can also go here for specialized traveler advice, vaccinations, blood tests and sexual health screening. Once again: Useful. 

There is also an excellent beauty range for sale. For the beautiful, but also for the difficult questions. Pharmacy-Brands-Meets-Hippe-Labels, so to speak. In short: finally a modern pharmacy+ that you see so much in New York, but that we simply didn't have here in the Netherlands (why not?). On the shelves include Avenue, Vichy, the French Roger & Gallet, John Masters Organics and the Amsterdam Marie Stella Maris (a favorite, especially for beauty. You may not have known it, but the Marie products are not only beautiful to look at, they are also really good). You can also go for a careful skin analysis at the beauty bar with subsequent advice.

Bonus: on the outside of the pharmacy says Dr. Robot. A 24-hour vending machine where you can pick up prescriptions at any time of the day without waiting times, as well as buy basic necessities such as pain medication, the morning-after pill and baby food. Ha! 

Amsterdam Central Doctor & Pharmacy is open on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 21:00 PM (on shopping evenings until 22:00 PM) and on weekends from 10:00 AM to 20:00 PM.
