These Amsterdam restaurants are open (and fun!) on Mondays
Ugh, Monday. Weekend over and back to work. And then you still have to cook when you come home exhausted. No way, we'll cook again on Tuesday (or Wednesday). These Amsterdam restaurants are open on Mondays (and fun!).
Since Monday, September 30, 2025, one of our favorite Amsterdam restaurants is also open on Mondays (and is therefore open all week).
Always nice with that cozy green living room on the corner in East. Because there is no shortage of plants. And no shortage of good food either. HHere you can have lunch after a walk around the Dappermarkt, and then walk from the Oosterpark to a nice glass of wine with a tasty snack (hello spicy bbq ribs en chorizo croquettes).
And now pay attention: If you want to spice up your Monday evening a little, Bar Botanique has a new menu and they are open on Mondays. Does your mouth water when you think about Ravioli du Moment, Peep chick piri piri with garlic rosemary jus and roasted lemon..Then you know where to be.
The tastiest classics: steak, pizza or burger, are still on the menu.
Do we need to say more?
What a success, those pop-ups from Bennies. And whether they understand what they are doing. Fantastic news for all big fans of Bennies (we are too, we don't hide): and there is now a permanent place! A modern, informal eatery in the middle of the Schinkelbuurt in Amsterdam South. What do they do? Let the stylish, unexpected but simple dishes stand out from the menu. Just opened, but already a success (again). And, open every day of the week: 10 points!
If we don't go to Naples, Naples will simply come to us. At Pizza Beppe, you'll eat authentic Neapolitan pizzas: handmade dough, San Marzano tomatoes straight from the Vesuvius region, and Fior di Latte that's truly exceptional.
With nine locations spread across the city, each with its own atmosphere, you can always find a place to sit down. The atmosphere? 'Cool & fine dining'. Culture, music, lifestyle, and pizza from top-notch stone ovens. Add plenty of craftsmanship and passion to that, and you're all set. It is not without reason that they were the first in the Netherlands to have the official Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) quality mark – no concessions, only authentic.
Buon appetito!
Mondays are perhaps the most enjoyable days at Bisous restaurant. Thanks to access to an incredible private wine cellar and a friend from the east of the country, Bisous restaurant is introducing something for all wine lovers: Bordeaux MondaysEvery Monday, a different selection from the prestigious French wine region of Bordeaux takes center stage. From exceptional vintages to smaller subregions, these evenings feature wines by the glass that are normally only available by the bottle.
A different Bordeaux theme every week: 2 March – Pomerol: velvety wines with deep complexity, such as Hosanna 2008 and Gazin 2005. March 9 – 2006 Selection: pearls of Gruaud Larose, Palmer and Pichon-Longueville Comtesse. March 15 – Grand Cru Bordeaux: with wines such as Lafite 1999, Latour 1998 and Margaux 2004.
Executive Chef Thomas Kooijman introduces a revamped menu featuring a weekly changing three-course Chef's Menu (€49,50). During Bordeaux Mondays, the main course pairs perfectly with the red wines, making food and wine a match made in heaven.
On the Herengracht is Embassy Brewery hidden, with a small but nice terrace on the water and a warm atmosphere inside. On the menu? French classics with a twist (think: oeufs à la Florentine, steak tartare, crêpes – yummmm), fine wines (well-filled glasses – we like that) and cocktails to slowly turn the afternoon into evening with a view over the canal. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or a long dinner on a summer evening on the terrace.
The Caron family now runs no fewer than four restaurants in Amsterdam: Cafe Caron, Petit Caron, Cantine de Caron en Tannay. Top chef Alain Caron has clearly passed on the chef gene to his sons. All open on Mondays and all fantastic because of the classics formal and casual looks and good French cuisine. These are one of those restaurants where you can now really take anyone, from your mother to a first date.
Italian lovers Please note: in April Amsterdam became another hotspot richer. Nonna has opened its doors on Jan Pieter Heijestraat. Thijs Boermans and Tijn Verstappen opened what they say is the nicest restaurant in Amsterdam. A dream in which their love for food, fun and people comes together. On the menu? Classics, and simply good: carbonara and bolognese, southern Italian pizzas, risotto, lasagna, the works. This could just become a very nice hotspot...
Nonna is open seven days a week.
Café Parlotte. Parlotte? Yes, that means chatting. “About the everyday and about life. About what fascinates us and what affects us, about food, about wine. Nice wine, delicious food, but above all the fun of spending an evening together in a nice place. That is Café Parlotte,” they say themselves. We mainly see a wonderful café for every day of the week, where you can enjoy wine, oysters, charcuterie, cheese and other tasty things from just before five o'clock. They don't take reservations (after all, there is always room in a café).
You will find Brasserie Margeaux in Amsterdam's Beethovenstraat. Dinner is a good idea, but you can also go there for lunch, where the emphasis is on hot and traditional lunch dishes. They offer a wide selection of tartines and baguettes, so plenty of choice. You've come to the right place if you fancy a good glass of wine, because they have a huge cellar, The Vintage Wine Cellar, where the most tasty and rare wines can be found. You are welcome all week at Brasserie Margaux! Go there and we'll see you there. Goodbye.
Ceiling is a taccessible bistro where you can eat and drink what you want without an extensive menu and with a wine list to die for. The restaurant is located on Utrechtsestraat and serves unaffectedly brilliantly delicious food. We ate an ultimate one there, among other things steak tartare, perfect oysters and a divine one octopus with corn, horseradish and smoked cheese and an original dish with rhubarb buttermilk ice cream, pink pepper and tarragon.
A golden oldie with a very large menu, that is Café-Restaurant Amsterdam. Now such a large menu is not always a good sign, but we have never ordered anything here that was not tasty. The restaurant is located in the former Machinepomp building near the Westerpark. So it is very large and high here and there is an industrial French atmosphere. Chic and cozy. A nice place to drink coffee and lunch during the day or to dine with friends in the evening.
Chef Dennis Huwaë, from the very nice restaurant Daalder, was our good neighbor for a long time (yay!) and we have known for a long time that Dennis is absolutely crazy. In 2018, the chef won the Gault & Millau Award for Talented Chef 2018 and at the beginning of 2021 Dennis & co finally won that coveted Michelin star. Good reason to move to Het Sieraad, where you can enjoy the graphic shapes, neon and... street art. can enjoy Daalder-signatures.
An indispensable part of a single list and well, as long as they make it happen, they will simply remain on it. Restaurant Lille has been Amsterdam's favorite of favorites from the very moment it opened its doors in 2012. That's not just the fantastic food – we're talking about a classy rotisserie here – but also the just right balance between eating out and a casual atmosphere.
Restaurant The jeweler on the Utrechtsestraat is a perfect mix between bistro and chic. In this new gem of a restaurant you can enjoy lunch and dinner, where chefs Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot (ha! Famous names!) will provide you with the most delicious dishes. Not the least chefs, the duo already has two stars behind their name with restaurant '212'. The menu is not large, but what they have on it is more than good.
A dinner party Café Binnenvisser on the Bilderdijkstaat in Amsterdam West will forever remain an oldie. A nice place with a relaxing atmosphere vibe. This way you won't meet dressy people, but rather people who have a passion for good food and drinks. like us. Also a place that apparently does not pay much attention to the interior - mind you: apparently - and where both the food and the formal and casual looks precisely because of that nonchalance spot-on are. Highly recommended. Just like Two Princes, from the same owners.

Craving Caribbean vibes, tropical cocktails, and soul food? At Mondi in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, you'll be transported to sun-drenched islands and flavors. Don't expect a run-of-the-mill menu here, but creative cocktails and dishes with international influences, from fresh and tropical to more substantial fare.
Mondi is also perfect for theme parties, large group dinners, evenings with (swinging) live music, or a lavish high tea. There are plenty of options, and they're also open on Mondays. The restaurant itself is colorful, filled with plants, and has a Caribbean vibe.
Wow, the Amsterdamse Pijp has one hell of an Italian spot: Carletto Amsterdam is the name, the (always pleasant) Gerard Doustraat is the place. This strikingly cozy Italian one sits unobtrusively among the nice shops in the street Tavern where you can enjoy the best Italian food convenience food. And cozy is really cozy, where some tables may be a little too close together. But you want the pizza (margarita all the way), and the carbonara ravioli is great: thick creamy sauce, firm bacon (as it should be, not those thin slices) and very friendly and fast service.
Artist Maarten Spruyt has gone wild with the interior design and stimulates all your senses. His works of art each tell the story of the human anatomy. For example, the tables are not just tables, but unique works of art that depict different organs with colorful patterns, a special detail that contributes to the creative atmosphere. His work is also playfully reflected at the bar and the melted disco ball hanging over the railing completes the party.
City’s C is modern, artsy and a great place for a lunch during working hours, networking drinks, dinners in large groups or just a stylish dinner date in the center of Amsterdam. The wine flows freely, and that certainly tastes like more.
City’s Kitchen is open from Monday to Friday
