Bar Simon: French flair and Rotterdam cosiness

Bonjour, bonsoir, au revoir. Time for some French allure. In a corner building on the Middellandplein in Rotterdam-West, Bar Simon. Brass, walnut, sky blue velvet, golden yellow details and some art deco on top, it's all there. An intimate French bistro with a touch of Rotterdam fun. At Bar Simon you can sit down for a drink at the marble bar or for a French dinner. The red and white wine flows abundantly, and on a summer's day you can't get away from the evening sun on the large terrace.

Oysters and snails

At Bar Simon, the focus is on French-Dutch cuisine. Of course, that means slurping oysters and perfectly roasted escargots, dripping in herb butter, but they also cook with the most delicious seasonal products. Classics such as escargots, artichokes, and steak béarnaise are always on the menu and are finger-licking good. In addition, an extensive wine list with sparkling, white, red and of course orange. Or go for a L'amour en Fuite, also known as 'the fleeting love' of vermouth, gin and elderflower, or une bonne bière and slide into the night at the bar.
