Where it all started? Vicky and Joey bump into each other after a night out, thanks to mutual friends. Sparks soon fly between the two. Joey runs Coco's Outback on Thorbeckeplein in Amsterdam, Vicky is wedding and event manager/stylist at Myrthe Regelt Het. They share their love for entrepreneurship and... hospitality. The duo bought a caravan in 2020, which they completely transformed into a mobile bar. And not just any bar, a vibrant bar that is. Bubbles or cocktails, the duo serves the most delicious drinks.

first things first, Joey asks Vicky's father for her hand about 1,5 years before the proposal - something with Corona that threw a spanner in the works. On their journey through South Africa, the ring finally comes out of his pocket. Finding the 'perfect moment' turns out not to be that simple, but in an idyllic cabin on top of a waterfall, Joey asks the big question.

What does marriage mean to this sparkling couple? Sharing everything together for a lifetime and enjoying it to the fullest. Being together with loved ones and making this as personal as possible is, without a doubt, the most important ingredient for their wedding. A weekend wedding is therefore a must for the two. There is a personal one in the bedroom for every guest goodie bag full of memories. On Friday afternoon, the first group of intimates is ready to build everything together for the big day. Each with their own quality and all equally enthusiastic. Work outfits come on. One wants to style, the other wants to carry, and the parents are in the kitchen together preparing a dinner filled with love.

With 65 day and 90 evening guests in prospect, the big day can finally kick off on Saturday. The ceremony takes place in a small chapel in Maastricht. With its beautifully decorated ceiling and impressive chandeliers, this place provides the ideal intimate atmosphere that the couple is looking for. Their faithful four-legged friend Frenkie is guest of honor during the ceremony. A big bonus for the large garden near the chapel, where guests are received before the ceremony and where they can have drinks immediately after the ceremony.

The rest of the weekend is celebrated in Belgium, about twenty kilometers from Maastricht. The location is not actually a wedding location. But a beautiful green place with lots of space where all guests can sleep - one where you have complete freedom - is the wish. This place is perfect for that. At the location wishlist There is also a good catering kitchen. Two friends of the couple are chefs and they prepare a spectacular vegetarian dinner on the big day. All in all, finding such a dream location is not an easy job, but catering and production tigers Vicky and Joey are not shy about this.

Advice from Joey & Vicky:

  • Enjoy! Yes, of the entire process from A to Z
  • Do what suits you. A chaotic ceremony, because your dog is also part of it? Sure, go!
  • Hire a professional wedding planner or master of ceremonies, then you can let go much better

Enjoy and stress less

Enjoy and stress less

Clever and skilled as they are in their profession, the couple prepared everything down to the minutes and wrote it out in their own script. Ultimately, on the day itself, things don't go as expected and this is difficult for their keen catering and organizational talents to let go of. But of course that is far from the most important thing, it is the overload of love and beautiful words that stay with you on such a day.

What do they want to pass on to other bridal couples? Enjoy! And then the entire process from A to Z. Do what suits you. If that's a chaotic ceremony because you want your dog there, him! Oh, and a wedding planner or master of ceremonies is really a nice (and not an unnecessary) luxury. If you hire a professional, you will be able to let go better on the day itself. This way, you and your friends and family will enjoy it even more - and ten times more relaxed.
